I wouldnt trade Landy over Duchene...I would rather see Dutch, Barrie, EJ, Varly go before Landy. - DDM-Coga
I think landy is safe for the time being. But it's a prove it year for him. He's got to start putting up some points. Got to shot more. To be honest I won't be shocked to see him moved at TDL or 2018 draft just because his NTC kicks in, in a year.

Landys importance isnt piling up points IMO, him hovering around that 50 pt mark is just fine for what he brings to the table.
Hes the leader of this team still and the best defensive forward this team has. I really believe he isnt going anywhere unless they can find another guy like him. With a team that is lacking such winger depth, you dont move guys like him. Landys a great captain and face of the franchise when dealing with the media, how he handled himself last season was very impressive.

I agree on all those things about him. But playing devils advocate, take the C off of him, he's a guy who's production continues to drop, part of a team which has made the play offs once while he's been there, and his contract can fetch something we can build on. I'm by no means saying move him today. But I personally believe there will be a point in the future where the the team needs over what he brings will be out of balance. |

I'll miss him too but I'm more surprised about Henley. |

as soon as Grigs wasn't on the expansion list, I figured he was gone.
I am shocked Siemens got another QO...what are they planning on doing with that boy |

I assume those (frank) boys have yet to even mention Compher or AJ Greer in it.
Dreger and McKenzie keep on calling Grigs the centre piece of the trade.
Whatever TSN is out of touch with the Avs, they have no sources and don't like that they aren't spoon feed leaked info |
