I think Marcus is worth the contract at $2.25m. Kassian just signed for 3 years at $1.95m. I see Foligno in a similar role however he's a better scorer, a few months younger, has a lot less baggage and is often considered a fan favorite. I would even offer a 3 year deal at that cost.
On a different note, has any one seen a complete list of RFAs that we're not qualified? I have seen a few from individual team reports, but none with a full list. Nashville did not qualify a goalie and a dman. Wonder if Housley would have interest in those guys for Rochester. |

He doesn't want to sign with the AVS ? - SABRES 89
Col showed him no love until he got good so he told them thanks but no thanks. He literally said don't call me, I'll call you. Don't blame him, sakic really mismanaged it. His style would be perfect for housley, but with 30 other teams in the mix, I don't see him in buffalo. I predict Las Vegas. |

Way overrated, always has been. Its always the way the team is using him (Same was said here). When are we going to stop making excuses for him and suggest he may not be that good. If he deserved first line minutes, his play would have dictated such, and he would have got it.

Cody Corbett, a left handed dman was not qualified by the Caps. I could see him being signed to play in Rochester. 6'1" 205lbs, only 23 y/o and from Minnesota. Did have quite a few good years with the Oil Kings and is still really young for a defenseman. |

Girgensons is a better skater
Both can play center or wing
U till they get passed by young guys we have coming up they're fine here
If either (or both) were traded I'd be fine with it though - jdfitz77
Girgs can't stay on his feet though. He's faster than Larsson but I don't think he's a better skater |

I'd go Bull. He and and Foligno anchor the Bull-Moose Party line |

I agree with you on Marcus, around $2.25 should be about it. Girgensons should get similar pay (as last year) with the mentioned "show me" 1 year deal. Beaulieu will be tricky (cause we know so little) but I am expecting a 4 year deal for ~$3 mil per. Larsson's injury did not help him here, but I can see him around $1.4 for maybe 2 years. Rodriquez would be around $1.1 - $1.2 for a couple more years. Lehner is the trickiest one, he ask (rumor) of $5.5 is WAY too much, I see him around $4 for maybe 1-2 years. Hope they can get these all done! |

I would lock him up for 4 years at that, if possible. He's good for around 10 goals a year (maybe mire) and is a consistent hitter. It's a solid vet presence at a fair price |

Where do you see Foligno fitting in on this roster in 4 years?
Is he a 4th liner with the possibility to play 3rd?
Would he be replaceable by a cheaper option in 2 years? |

I'm a little more bullish on his future than most. I see him at a solid 3rd liner scoring 12-15 a year. I thought he took a nice step this past year. Even 2.5 isn't gonna kill the cap, and I think his physicality will be necessary in the playoffs. I think he's a nice player. I don't think cheaper matters when his salary will be low enough anyway |

That's fair.
I was just trying to see what you projected him to be.
If he does not have any further upside, which you would have to think playing with consistent linemates he could improve, then there wouldn't be a need for 4 years.
I think we have seen that he can be an effective 3/4 line guy. It only depends on what the front office views him as. |

Larsson was at a 3rd of a point per game and played really well with Foligno. I think that toughness could anchor a 3/3b line with some more speed on the other side. Paying both those guys under 3 mil a year for their production and style would be a wise choice imo. I would move Girgs now and let erod center a 4th |

I have never liked Sbisa.
He's a disaster, from what I have seen, since his Anaheim days. |
