Do we take a chance on him or do we have too many young guys as is? |

On Lehner's 0fer in the shootout: you would think after the 2nd or 3rd loss, the goalie coach would have told him to go out there and try something radically different. It wasn't like he was fantastically flopping around out there. He looked way too passive. Maybe someone should have told him to channel his rage and be more aggressive |

I think his size actually hurts him a bit. You can tell guys were taking advantage of his weak spots and he was never able to correct it. Someone needs to go over tape with him on that because I think the book is out on him on where to shoot. |

The kid has put up crazy numbers throughout his entire career. Its a head scratcher as to why he never translated in the NHL. Would def be a good Rochester add though. |

I remember shots going pretty much everywhere, but he was especially visually exasperated by picks that beat him five hole. He doesn't seem to be baiting people to shoot where he wants them to, he just backs up and tries to make the save. Or he's baiting them and still not making the save. Either way 0-8 seems more anomalous than anything else. I think it got in his head. He may never save 2 thirds of shots, but his average will go way up. Usually not every skater that shoots hits the net |

I agree he seems to get points everywhere. I would think he wants an NHL guarantee of sorts, but I would try to sign him for sure for AHL! |

Five hole for sure. I noticed a bunch that went over his shoulder stick side too. Def in his head. You can see in his body language that he almost gives up and is visibly frustrated. This has been an issue with him his entire career tho. Hes emotionally unstable. |

it's a mental thing - Michael Pachla
I think it's partially a sample size error and bad luck combined with that. If you put an AhL goalie there, I bet he makes 1 or 2 saves. 0 for 8 doesn't make logical sense. It's a statistical fluke, to some degree I think. Like I said before, sometimes shooters miss the net or lose the pick, and he wasn't do fortunate there |

and if you yank him for the shoot outs, it only gets worse
the big question
do you invest in a goalie who can't make a save in the shoot out?
arbitration always favor a goalie and with his starts, and save % he will win if they go to arbitration

Anyone interested in tickets for this year? Selling a 20 pack. Section 307 row 15. You pay price I pay, season ticket price. I'll add another game in there for free. Change in shift at work won't allow me to go to many this year. Message if interested |

For as much as Lehner gets ragged on over the shootouts, it's also a little bad luck.
What are the odds no one hit a post or fanned on a shot? |

If we can somehow bring back Arturs Irbe, lehner would look spectacular. Irbe's work almost cost us a tank when he suddenly made lindback and neuvirth look like starting goalies |
