Is there proof of him being a bad teammate?

Asking for a friend

- sbroads24

I don't think I've heard any reports of that... are there?

And I'm definitely not saying Yakupov is a sure thing by any means
It's probably more likely he doesn't work out, than he does

Just trying to come up with some low risk, low cost, high reward type guys

Kid is FAST, & can score...
we are willing to take a shot on other guys who aren't great defensively
Maybe he could be worth it?

Which u eliminate by sending him to AHL if he's not good

So again... what's the downside?

- jdfitz77

He's exhausted 2 teams in 2 years. Two offensively gifted teams. Why do you want a player who doesn't give a poop about showing up? He's erratic offensively and completely unable to perform defensively. I wouldn't put him on this team for free-99 let alone the league minimum, 650K. There's no scenario that Nail Yakupov improves this team, on or off the ice.

With our defense as is...
how could u trade McCabe?

Besides that, I'd like to take out Baptiste.
I'm ok with the rest

- jdfitz77

I still think they are getting a top 4 d man

plus I would rush guhle to nhl if we got max

1 year
2.3 mil

2 way contract

Daley could be a decent choice if he's ready to move on from Pittsburgh. If give him a decent raise on a 2 year deal to allow Guhle some roch time

Wow. That's like 2.3 million too much.

I don't think 2 way contracts mean anything. They're only useful for players under 925k.

If you're waiver eligible and pass through, your cap is, in this case 2.3 mil minus 925k. So that's 1.4 mil on the sabres cap hit if he's sent to rochester.

I hate Yakupov almost as much as broads hates Kane.

Well.. maybe not that much.

You're making a lot of assumptions there sir

Again...
when he's played in the top6, he's scored
Bottom6, he hasn't

You're "erratic" comments do not apply to him when he was playing with good players
Not saying he's the solution to our problems
I'm saying he COULD be a decent scorer on Jack's wing

And the downside, is we send him to the AHL

How many times did u actually watch him play?
We want speed, right?
We want skill & scoring ability, right?
And we don't have to give up anything for him
The only downside is the potential Cap hit if we send him down
And we have plenty of Cap room

Got any ideas for a low cost, high upside winger for Jack?

I'm heading to DT Toronto in a few weeks to get weird with a few other folks. Any recommendations? Food to try? Bars? Hookers?
- TheSabresTaco

really depends on your budget but in general...

distillery district
cn tower
rogers centre if you're feeling a ball game
st lawrence market
eaton centre/queen street west/yorkville if you feel like shopping

food/drink wise:
if the weather's nice id hit up one of the patio spots (amsterdam brew house, drake's sky yard, hemingways, pilot)

restaurants: canoe, beer bistro, soco kitchen, momofuko, The chase(seafood), bymark, richmond station, Blu ristorante

would check out some of the dessert stuff too if you're into that.

There's also kensington market too (designated national historic site apparently lol) but its not for everyone

casa loma and the ROM if you want to do some old timey/museum stuff

other bars: cloak bar and the caledonian have a pretty good rep as well but summer time in toronto the patio spots are your best bet.

He's decent
But I feel he's likely to sign with a contender
We'd probably have to give a guy like that a top dollar contract to come here
And also probably more years than we should

Yes. We do want that. You'd have to think St Louis would at least qualify him if he provided that.

I hope you're right,
but I'll be more surprised at this point than I would expect it

IF we can bring in another defenseman,
then I'd consider it

But even then,
I'd be trying to make the deal without McCabe if at all possible

They didn't play him in the top6 dude
Obviously u just hate him... fine

But that facts are that he scores when he plays in the top6

If he's looking for a short-term pay day, i think we could be an intriguing option for him. The Sabres don't have to pay 15 and 23 this year, and Gorges comes off next year, so that would be the cap space for him. If he's receptive to really good money for 2 years, it'd be a fit. I think he's sneaky good.

I'm not comparing skill level, just development paths. It makes sense that two brothers may develop around the same time

That's allowed if talking about a non-Sabre.

If it's a Sabre, you need DNA or video evidence.

Yakupov will get another shot if he doesn't bolt to Russia

Low cost, high upside..

So you're looking for hidden gems here.

But, Michael Grabner, PA Parentaeu, Vanek, Pirri, Weal, Gagner could all provide some high quality middle 6 scoring.

My only question is, does it stand up to Sundowner's?
