Lower body power and leg muscle for skating will be the big weight add ons and for his frame 20-30lbs is an easy add which would all be about improved skating.

So you guys think he'll play at 225-230 pounds? We'll see I guess. I say between 215-220.

I remember laughing out loud hysterically when I found out that the Canucks were the ones including the draft pick

well as I said its normal to add 30 by 25 for a normal man. But the amount of cardio in hockey will probably reduce that.
220 might be the number.

Again it will depend on his genetics too, which is why I went a bit higher. He looks to have a build that could easily widen and thicken.

he'll no doubt add 14 to get to 215. So why dont we agree it'll be projected to be 215-230 which is only 15 lbs variance between us

ya in hindsight we clearly lost that 1 badly. Our opinion would be different if he didnt clean up his act and get playing again of course

My guess is he'll be at 215lbs entering NHL. But as he gets older into his prime he'll fill out probably between 220-230. It all depends on speed gain to lower body muscle.

Kassian has apparently cleaned up his act in Edmonton

Prust quit on his team after getting healthy scratched by WD. Amazing mentorship for the young guys to see that happen.

A lot of people hated that trade from the second it was announced, and people who supported Benning defended it. I remember the "thank you" text from Dorsett to Benning got a lot of play

Brutal trade. Would have been better off just waiving Kassian.

Hmm I would have said Granlund but that wasn't known at first. So on it's surface right now Burr for Dhalen. As we see more of Dhalen he probably will widen that score.

Burrows for Dhalen easily. Just because it was great value in the trade market. Still can't believe Benning of all people managed to pull that off.

the roxy would have claimed him off waivers

yes his ways had to go, the boozing and the 2 "8ball" a night coke habit had to stop ( a friend of mine who knew him filled me in on that)

It was an awful trade on so many levels. If you're an objective guy and not a JB hater or apologist you can rightly say it was a bad call. I know Don defends it cause of the coke stuff he says he wa privy too. That just meant the guy needed in patient rehab. Not a trade to the high pressure Habs where you paid them a draft pick as well.

If Dahlen impresses and later clicks with EP you can call it a trade on the scale of Naslund for Alex Stoyanov disparity.

kassian had ALREADY gone through 2 levels of nhl rehab with no change.
cant recall if it was habs or oilers that put him into the highest level rehab.
Apparently he still has struggles staying away from it but his teammates keep him in check he said which is why he's not going to be leaving the oilers for eons

So doesn't that prove he needed inpatient treatment and put on suspension away from game instead of a trade. Anyway you justify it was a bad call.

Yup. Figures on DD he was JB's second worst trade or tie with Vey for 2nd but at least that was worth taking a shot. People may like his grit but he's a bone head of a player that really adds nothing and costs more in other ways. Hope that mistake finds its way to Comets or Pens on waivers.

For the individual who called me thick and didn't like me misspelling Pettersson's name, ( at another teams site)could you please correct your spelling of these players, Dahlen not Dhalen, also Gaunce not Guance.

Thank you.

I'm not saying he's not capable of doing it. I'm saying that he'll probably choose not to do it in order to be fast enough for the NHL. Playing at 210 or 215 pounds for a 6'2" player is quite common the NHL. I can't see him playing at over 220+ and getting faster than he is right now.

Training to play in the NHL and bodybuilding are two totally different things brah

- Nucker101

Not aimed at you but the expectations in here are off the chart.

He is probably going to be like a Patrick Maroon. He is a tough kid that was fighting 19 year olds at the age of 15. His coach said he never lost a fight and that help create a lot of space for him to do what he had to do to score. He studies the game for hours and hours and is always improving.

I have a feeling if he doesn't come in here and have three fights and 3 goals in his first game he will be labelled a bust. That's what he do here in Canuckville.
