lol he made a lot more than 1 million last year. He must have hit every performance bonus in his ELC. Didn't he sign a 8 year endorsement contract with Reebok as well? Not to mention all those stupid insurance commercials he has done. Kid is just doing just fine for 19 years of age |

Miller replaced with a used Condon - Nucker101

In an unrelated thought:
I hope the Canucks move their farm team to Abby within the next year or 2. Be nice to see when these prospects hit the AHL. For the 1st time the Comets are going to be actually worth monitoring.
Amazing how Markstrom carried them to the finals a few years back. |

Kassian has apparently cleaned up his act in Edmonton
Prust quit on his team after getting healthy scratched by WD. Amazing mentorship for the young guys to see that happen.
A lot of people hated that trade from the second it was announced, and people who supported Benning defended it. I remember the "thank you" text from Dorsett to Benning got a lot of play
Brutal trade. Would have been better off just waiving Kassian. - Nucker101
It wasn't a hockey trade dude. He had a serious drug problem and they were trying to give him a fresh start in life, not hockey. |

Just a thought on my part, 10.5 million cap hit, more in yearly salary like Toews and Kane for the first five years. Guess we'll see. - LeftCoaster
Kane and Toews contracts have destroyed the Hawks. 3 cups, well deserved. But really hurts the team. |

You know that 50th overall pick, 2nd round in 2006, that Boston used to select Lucic was a spinoff from the Neely trade...the gift that keeps on giving |

Don't want to start a big thing here. But targeting Prust for a 5th was the stupid part. Guy was a clown show here and a bad influence on the youth. |

They can rest on their laurels, three Cups, plus they had a good year last year, they're not dead yet. Their top three player salaries don't amount to much more than the Penguins do. 25 million to 27 million. |

Yeah riveting poop this morning from Rick. The canucks who need a backup goalie are interested in Mike Condon along with the other 12 available backups. - Scooby_Doo

Including a 5th was the cost it took for a team to take a chance on a troubled young man. Kassian almost killed himself in an accident shortly after. I'm sure MTL regrets the trade as well. This isn't a video game Nucker. One could argue that we should have released Kassian but the org would have taken a lot of flack for that. They called every team to help get the kid a fresh start. His stints in the substance abuse program were known throughout the league. |

They tried to help him but he didn't want help, so they simply washed their hands of him. That fact he bottomed out in Montreal had nothing to do with the Canucks, that's just how it played out.
Not really anything to do with your comment, just my opinion on him.

Friedman says it's already "close" so I doubt it's going to be 10.5M. 10.5M would actually be a discount for him. - Nucker101

Is anyone in this thread in charge of a fantasy pool for this upcoming season. I'd like to be a part of it if possible..... |
