His hot but stupid wife left him after no team would offer him a contract. 😂

Gold.

They tried to help him but he didn't want help, so they simply washed their hands of him. That fact he bottomed out in Montreal had nothing to do with the Canucks, that's just how it played out.

Not really anything to do with your comment, just my opinion on him.

Blaming JB for losing Kassian is quite short-sighted IMO.

You said it they tried hard to bring him along but was a lost cause at the time. Can't hang that on JB.

Trent Cull Quotes from Interview:

"My strength as a coach is developing young players, a huge focus for the Canucks is developing young players in the AHL"

"I think team speed is important, and we need to make sure that everyone comes to camp in shape, and all boxes are checked"

"first round picks like Jake are fun projects to me, he reminds me of Brett Connolly, excited to do what it takes to get him back in the NHL"

"Jordan Subban is exciting, he skates well and can shoot the puck, He's a strong Canucks prospect"

Distaste towards Vey might have been less widespread if we had gotten him for free instead of paying a 2nd
- NorthNuck

other than Demko & Dvorak, there was no one in that part of the draft that materialized into anything, so it basically was for free.

Let Jordan play for (frank) sake.

Do they really think this kid could make the canucks worse?

Any half-decent free young asset gets a lot of hype. Vey would have as well if LA just let him walk.
- Nucker101

Meh.
Why pay anything when we already have signed assets. We always talk about development yet are always so quick to replace our own guys with second rate question marks.

Let Gaunce grow his game at 4C.

Hi,

I'm OK with this Trent Cull thing. Take a look at the Lightning prospects that rolled through Syracuse on his watch, in the new blog.

Also, free-agency updates and watcher Kristoffer Gunnarsson bench press!

lol relax. Media Scrum and press release is completely routine when hiring a new coach, both in the NHL and AHL.

Works for me. I can see 1 more year helping him get off the snide.
Say 8 goals & a good 2-way game would be just fine.
Given decent uninjured wingers would go a long ways for him.

I agree. Vey was exactly the type of player to take a chance on but ideally for free or cheap.
