Yeah I hope not to see Gagne here.
I would like to try Yakupov and Grigo . If they work fine if they don't who cares - VANTEL
I can tolerate MDZ for a decent contract.
As for Yak never. Another lost kid taking up a spot a prospect can earn.
Grigorenko maybe but trade Gaunce then if giving up on him.
Overall rather keep on the rebuild & not UFA's. |

What is the desire to sign Del Zotto? He has only been a + dman twice in his NHL career and over the last 6yrs he's has only played 52+ games once. - Kaynine
I've no clue either tbh.
Why do we want any UFA at this stage of the rebuild?
Only reason is stop gap depth & trade or don't bother.
One more TDL & draft is ahead & cap space galore to manipulate is our game.
2 years of treading water while developing prospects.
2018-19 season is at the earliest the time to begin trending up. |

Gaunce is better at playing LW then C so no issue there if Grigo is signed. |

The proposed UFA's are for short term stop gaps to tread water. The suggestion is without filling the missing roster spots then prospects or AHL level Canucks will have to do it this season. That may invite a drowning Avs style which doesn't help development. |

Prolly so & fits in well with the UFA market.
The UFA market r has beens or never weres.
Gaunce at least would stand out in that AHL scrap heap. |

Is there a top 4 LHD out there we want or just a plug?

These so called proposed UFA's r trash nothing more.
Short term waste of money is prolly all they r.
Bottom pairing retreads r all that is available & a dime a dozen at that.
The UFA market every year gets worse & worse to the point its a joke.
When 35+ UFA's r top targets says much.
Thorton Marleau Williams & throw in a few others getting overpaid longterm deals makes UFA's bottom of the barrel desparation. |

It's not about Hutton. There is no one below him to play LD for third pair. If OJ isn't ready and there is a good chance he isn't then what? |

Clearly it is. The kid is awful in a top4 role for 80 games, let's give him a buffer. MDZ isn't much, shouldn't cost much and is young enough to improve still. I hope they tke a look at Murphy, he's really young and was overpaid but at a cheap cost could be a nice reclaimation project. Looks like Nilsson and MDZ (which is fine, him Franson and Kuliakov are all around the same) hopefully both players on the cheap and short term (3 years max, hopefully 2). I'd be fine with Gagner, we haven't tried a forward on the point in years (Hank when he could skate, before that Nassy?). Either way, another year of the lineup getting younger, I'm not sure what everyone else is thinking but you cant ask for much more than the average age to steadily go down and the prospect pool to steadily fill. 2 more years of the same and we will be a bubble team IMO. |

UFA market grew with RFA's not getting qualified plus buy outs as teams had to make cap decisions. Bottom pairing is what Canucks need to fill so what's the issue against the stop gap show me contract? If it works out then they can get flipped at the TDL. |

lots of buyouts. I'd love Bouma for the bottom 6. Hartnell wants to contend, so no. Any other guys people want to see? I like Murphy, pretty young Dman to take a shot on. Hard not to like Jimmy Hayes, behemoth.
johansen wants 8.5, trickle down effect of McJesus begins. |
