It's the RangerSabre connection, as opposed to the RangerDanger or RangerSaver one.

Hopefully Lindy will advise AV to at least, (if still available), use his timeout call near the end of a potential 1 goal game wins, when their players on the ice, including Hank* or Pavelec are completely out of gas.
*(I recall in particular, the tongue bashing Hank himself had given to AV after an OT regulation game loss to the Caps a few seasons ago. That was due to him and his on ice mates being fully gassed, after the Caps in the final 1:30, had severe pressure on them in deep for at least 1:00 straight. Then, prior to the ensuing face off with about 30 seconds left, Hank was seen motioning to AV to use his timeout. AV did not, and the Caps tied the game with about 15 seconds remaining, prior to winning it in the OT. I believe it was OVI who had scored either that tying or GW goal.)

They can say it isn't a look over the shoulder situation but it sure looks like it. AV is gonna have a really short leash

Depth at forward, defense, goaltending and coaching. The rangers are the epitome of organizational excellence.

Just finished the last blog. Nice work by mrhattrick.

Since the Rags traded for Messier, I am assuming that was the answer?

Good points on drafting vs. acquiring.

If you use the timeout and the other team scores, it'll be because you gave the other team a chance to set up a play.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but the timeout question is never really an easy one, depending on your team's legs and if the other team has one.

Meaning they were a #1 at the time of the trade. Think the guys you are listing were "potential" #1's

Funny thing is Stepan was like 27th or something in points for a center so with 30 teams, technically he was a #1.
