To squash any chance of a threepeat? The notion that Crosby and Malkin play "scared", or will somehow be better because they have a meathead on their roster now (taking up a spot from someone who would most likely have been a better hockey player than him) is laughable.
87 and 71 are two of the dirtiest stars in the game today, and they take so much abuse in part, because of how they play.

Gauthier fought during a line brawl this year and did surprisingly well 🥊

Lucas, you know I love you buddy.

But Matt Martin, as good of a guy he is and as good of a teamate he can be....

I completely disagree with him being a useful element on the ice and/or being "one of the best 4th liners in the game".

He's probably, imo, the worst contract on the Leafs too (unless Marleau blows more than expected).

Anyway, gotta love your optimism about your team as always! Cheers!

I'd trade Shaw for Martin in a heartbeat.

If only because his contract ends sooner.

For the hate I have on Shaw, his contract, his personnality, his (frank)ing ugly face....

He's still, probably, a better hockey player than Martin.

There have been sooo many "next Chara's" over the years that didn't even make it to the AHL. *Hard shrug*

All these kids get too many hugs, fed too much anti-bullying propaganda to be tough nowadays.

We need to ruin their childhoods; it's our only hope for Rock 'em Sock 'em Hockey again.

looks about right, only potential swap could be uncle Leo and Hyman

I wouldn't mind seeing Komarov and Martin turn into the bash brothers

Eemeli Rasanen is a large presence on the ice. Standing at an astounding 6’7’’ tall and weighing in at 214 pounds, he’s a literal mountain on skates. He loves to play physically, and with his body type, that’s a scary force to have patrolling a blue line. With a frame like his it’s not hard to see why Rasanen enjoys the physical play. He has the ability to shut down opposing forwards entering the zone with clean hits.

“I like to hit people a lot.”

I wondered why all the NHL GM's (apart from paranoia about Russia players fleeing back to the KHL when they tripped over their Richards in the NHL) passed on Klim Kostin

Ranked #16 by ISS Hockey
Ranked #14 by Future Considerations
Ranked #21 by McKeen's Hockey
Ranked #1 by NHL Central Scouting (EU Skaters)
Ranked #18 by TSN/McKenzie

And why the Leafs wouldn't take a flyer on a 6'3" RW that has a lights out shot and hits like a truck. Would have been a much cheaper acquisition than the flop otherwise know as Tyler Biggs.

- winsix
I wanted the Bruins to draft him so bad. Of course they never pick skill.
