Yes and it still very much a question over who is the better player.
I see attitude problems with Eichel though. Last year's little temper tantrum is not "leadership". It's just being a whiny brat. - Aetherial

Yeah agreed. They will both be pretty great numbers 1s in the league, a tier under Mcdavid. Buffalo vs Toronto should be a good rivalry sooner then later. |

What was the garbage about wanting the coach and GM out or some crap like that.
and just look at his (frank)ing whiny ass ginger face.
I mean Matthews is pinging everyone's gaydar, but Eichel just looks like a total douchebag and so far, he seems like one also.
You are allowed to hate Antropov. I feel the same way about Eichel.

Saying Brad Marchand is garbage is like saying the sky is blue. It's common knowledge.
Saying Crosby and Malkin are "some of the dirtiest players in the game today" reeks of you not accepting defeat to a much better team than the Sens.
Have a nice day sir. - Scabeh
I actually said that 87 and 71 are two of the dirtiest stars in the game today, and they take so much abuse in part, because of how they play
My whole point was that when you compare those two with other star players, they will cross the line more frequently than many, and so are clearly not in need of "protection", especially not from someone who will most likely make their team worse.
Crosby is a polarizing figure who people either love, or dislike (and it is not because of his skill). I have been in the latter category for many years now, and I am hardly the only one |

Pure Bullsh!t!
No denying that Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez were two elite baseball talents. One was a good guy, humble and a baseball great, the other was a pig that got run out of the league. You can (for now) compare ability (however Matthews has done better than Eichel at every stage so far).
Couple of points for thought. How many times did you see Matthews go to an official and complain about a call? If the answer was zero - you are correct. How many times did you see Matthews retaliate against questionable hits on him? If the answer is zero, you are correct. How many times did you see Matthews taunt opponents or opposing fans? If the answer is zero, then you are correct. It's not a simple as being a whiny brat as you state, its more about decency and having a solid character. Just like Jeter. |

How many times did you see Matthews retaliate against questionable hits on him? If the answer is 2 with 2 zeros, you are correct. How many times did you see Matthews taunt opponents or opposing fans? I personally dont think Martin is that good at actual Hockey and doing things that help move the line towards goals and win and points in the standings.
I guess its Great that after someone cheap shots Marner...they are now scared. |

Matt Martin barely did anything last year. He fought when he got frustrated and maybe a handful of times he stuck up for rookies.
