What's JVR's value even as a soon-to-be UFA who will command a raise?
Since I expect Hagg/Morin to start with the Flyers and Sanheim to start in the AHL, I wouldn't offer a d prospect.
Having said that, if Sanheim has a great camp and forces Hexy to keep him up, I'd consider exploring Hagg and STL's 2018 1st before the year starts. But I really Dk if this offer would be over payment or not enough; just don't know JVR's value. - arichardson22
They need to move forwards already so I can't see this happening. But I think fair value would be Raffl, Hagg and a conditional first that protects the Flyers in case the St Louis pick is higher than their own in whatever year they gain it.
Doesn't make sense for the Flyers though. They need to fill out their own blue line before trading promising young defensemen. Can't count their chickens before they hatch. The chance of chemistry reigniting isn't enough for Hextall to stray from the path he is on. |

I think we have plenty of LW cover for this season with Konecny, Weal, Lindblom, Raffl, Lehtera, Laughton, Weise, Read and Filppula all options to play there. |

I haven't been this excited for a Flyer season in a long time. It's like the Game of Thrones...so many questions to be answered and so many epic battles to play out. I want the next episode now!
Hextall might just be the Mother of Dragons. |

Those are all plug in players for LW, IMHO. |

Wish I lived in Philly to see that FREE prospect game, peed a little when I saw the roster. - coffee junkie
I went in 2011. I was so surprised there were over 10K for a 5 PM game. gotta think its going to be packed for a 7 PM game. Looking at the roster I'm really looking forward to it |

I normally prefer to marathon myself, but since the final seasons are so short I just couldn't help myself.
The good news is we should have George RR series Wildcards turned into a tv show to fill the void left by GoT.
I really wish they would turn the Wesley Chu Tao series into a tv show, although I heard a rumor the Time series is getting a movie (sadly Michael Bay is attached so the movie will most likely blow).

I don't have any interest in JVR at this point and would rather keep Hagg and the pick. |

Look at that arbitrary cutoff. There were seven left wings who scored 30 goals last season and JVR wasn't one of them. |

Good stuff thanks...
If Sanheim is up to 6'4 199 he remains my horse out of the 4 D to make it out of Camp. - Konalover
Yeah that's some pretty tasty size with the young group:
Morin 6’7 - 6’8
Myers 6’5 - 6’6
Sanheim 6’3 - 6’4
Wilcox 6’3 - 6’4 |

Lehtera could be a nice little find.
Laughton could have grown into a solid replacement for Bellmare.
Lindblom could be a late round gem.
Could this be the beginning of the triple LLL line.

I'd rather have Lindblom with 20 some goals then give up any assets for JvR's 28 goals and stupid face. |

I made a joke in the Devils' blog and someone responded in a (warranted) slightly defensive way regarding who will be better between Nico and Nolan.
What is great is that for the Flyers, it really doesn't matter. I mean, don't get me wrong, it will suck if Nolan Patrick isn't great for whatever reason, but it isn't like we can really go back in time and ask that we didn't move up to #2 to pick whoever the Devils didn't.
There really isn't much reason to be upset right now as a Flyer fan |

It's still hard to believe that Simmonds goal sent game 82 into OT, giving the Flyers the 13th spot in the draft lottery, and they won the 2nd overall pick with it.
I think if Carolina had won in regulation Patrick would be a Jet. |

I forget exactly, but based on other games I believe there were like 2-3 spots still open to them. I believe you are right though. The rest of the games staying the same, it would've only been one spot |
