Good list. I would put Washington above the Leafs. And while I hate the Rangers, I still feel they are 2 behind the Penguins, especially in the 21st century. - FloHaake
All these teams have been kicking our ass bad lately especially the top 4

just a quick question brought up by another Eklund "rumor", does anyone think re-acquiring JVR, and putting him on the top line with G, would ignite some type of fire for that line? They are great friends, played well together prior to the trade with Asham, and is a legit scoring LW. I know our top 9 is crowded as it is, but I doubt he would cost what some of the other top LW scorers would cost.
I know it doesn't necessarily fit what we are doing, but if we had the space, and roster spots, I feel it would definitely help out the first line. I was never a fan of trading JVR in the first place, mostly due to his herculean effort against the Bruins in the 2010-11 second round sweep, and always wanted to see what him and G could do over the course of their primes.
JVR - G - Jake
Konecny - Patrick - Simmonds
Filppula - Couts - Weal
Lindblom - Raffl/Lehtera - Weise
Laughton, Vecchione, Read to LHV, Raffl/Weise as the 13th skater
Stacked - sjk540
Lindblom is better than JVR. Why on Earth would he be on the 4th line??? Why would we trade for someone who would be a 3rd/4th line forward on this roster?

Lehtera could be a nice little find.
Laughton could have grown into a solid replacement for Bellmare.
Lindblom could be a late round gem.
Could this be the beginning of the triple LLL line. - Konalover
Why on Earth would you put together a line with nobody who has proven they could play center in the NHL and three guys who all play left wing?

Lehtera and Laughton are both historically centers.

Can only assume he is the reason Marner and Bozak didn't score more. |

I am at a loss to understand how the roster for rookie camp was chosen. As far as I can tell, there are no limits on the number of players you can include, and players like Morin, Leier and Stolarz are all rookies. They could all benefit from the extra work, so why exclude them?
Does that mean Hagg is a lock to make the team? |

While I in no way want the Flyers to trade for him, he has had seasons of 30, 27, and just last season 29 goals.
I would wait until Lindblom plays a game in the NHL before I would anoint him as better than JVR. |

Maybe we should let Linblom play at least 1 NHL game before bestowing that honor on him. I'm not interested in acquiring JVR but he would at worst the 3rd best winger on this team based on current roster.

This is a contradictory statement on your part. Earlier you posted that Lindblom is better than JVR yet now you say a player has to prove he can play center? |

Players in their third pro year attend full camp but not rookie camp. |

Charlie O'Connor is leaving BSH to write for the athletic.
He will still do their podcasts though.
What is the athletic? I cant find the website. The one site i did find only had 5 Cities, sports locations, and none of them were Philadelphia.
EDIT: Coming soon -

Lindblom is better than JvR because he didn't intentionally break his leg to avoid being traded...at least not yet. |

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Mind changed, Lindblom is definitely a better NHL player than JVR.

In general that's true, but Leier was at rookie camp last year and Morin will be there this year.
I'm not sure why Hagg isn't also going to give them 4 LHD as well as 4 RHD. |

Yeah, having Leier but not Hagg doesn't make sense, they both started playing pro in 14/15, though Hagg was slide-eligible. |
