Really thought he would go Rangers. I guess more guaranteed minutes and further up the depth chart was major selling point. Whatever the reason, Avs needed a bit of positive news as this off-season has been a black-hole for Sakic and company. Now, if he could only get on with moving Duchesne....anywhere...(except Habs), then I think Avs can begin to really begin the rebuild....this Duchesne thing is becoming almost the disaster that Luongo was!!!!  |

Actually I thought he'd be going to Vancouver, I think that his dad has conections to the city or team?..also the rangers seemed to be another spot I thought with the other resent college signings! But it's great that Colorado gets a prospect and a bit of good news  ..And what about a Dushene for S Reinhart? Or to Carolina for Hanifin? with possibly other assets from both sides? Not sure if Sakic gets the 1st, a top defensive prospect and a roster player he's reportably after? But for the two mentioned players above he wouldn't be overly criticized for such a deal?.. Imho  |
