Hey Garth.....you spelt "Ho's" wrong.

It is nice to hear future Jack Adams trophy winning coach, Phil Housley wants "his defenseman (sic) to be involved in each and every rush up the ice". The problem is two fold.

Do they have enough talent on the back end to make the risk worth the reward?
Do they have the goaltending to handle the increased number of odd man rushes they will give up.

That strategy might work in Nashville with their elite D corp but to ask the the Sabres group of decent to promising to AHL caliber D men to ply this strategy is folly.

I would wait 40-50 games before we can judge Housley. Until then, he's just another rookie coach.

Gone are the days where Buffalo defenseman are going to attempt to execute their break out passed and hang back in their zone and at center ice to defend the fortress. Housley is shifting the paradigm from Dan Bylsma’s ultra-conservative, low risk defensive to an aggressive, uptempo, five man attack.

Yawn, more Garf hyperbole. Sounds suspiciously like what Lavy has been doing all along in Philly and Nash, wonder why?
