Seems like a fair trade but i think guance is an overpayment for barkov. Kinda glad demer denied the deal for that reason alone. The rest of the trade looks even.
looks like I've gone and Broken my L4, not 100 percent curable but if i don't move for 2 weeks its likely to be healed in 4 to 6 weeks. So your gonna get a lot of me....
it's not reaching. The guy put on like 15 lbs of muscle over the summer. Do I think his play would have been drastically better than what he has shown if he hadn't put on all that weight? Probably not. He needs time to develop, but what he did to himself didn't help, at all...
PS - not everyone has the frame to hold and function at 250lbs hefty - Codes1087
Thats not exactly true. When i saw last saw OJ play in April he was already up to 190lbs, so he essentially gained about 10lbs since he had been drafted, then he showed up at camp almost at 200lbs. It was a smart, gradual process that I don't think has effected the way he plays at all. I just don't think he's ready for the pace of the NHL yet.
I remember during the Gillis era I thought everyone drafted was a cinch to be playing in the NHL . Who knew Cedarholm would not be the next Chara. It is a guessing game. Guys like MacKenzie Stewart who was snubbed by the know everything crowd is having a decent year and could make the Comets this year.
I thought if Goldobin had a good camp then I don't have a problem with him making the club even if he doesn't back check because Sedins or Vanek don't either, and in previous years Vrbata. Goldy forgot to bring his scoring to camp so that s a dead subject.
I said earlier if Boeser and JV make the club then this is a successful year.
Yesterday we watched mostly a jr team sprinkled with a couple of AHL players and other teams rejects so I put little stock into the outcome. The day before was more of an indication what an NHL game looked like . I liked the speed and the hunger. It was more entertaining and I stand by my comments that Canucks should move some expiring contracts.
I know some will think it is a poke at the twins but it is not. I also meant moving Beartschi and Gudbrandson because they won't be worth the contract they are expecting.
