I've seen some other games that moved better. Just stop hacking and you won't get called. It's up to the players. Still, if they get nine cracks at the PP, they need to finish something.

There are b2b games.... Morin (and Lindblom) have been part of every vet practice and played in every game so far, including rookie game. So they will play tomorrow instead of tonight. Sanheim, apart from a one-day assignment to the "AHL/juniors" practice, has also been part of every game and vet practice so far. Sanheim and a vet (maybe Gudas, who has been his partner in recent days) may sit tomorrow.

Really, that's all it means.

Think a little forward and towards the future. The Flyers have Couturier who is 24. They lucked into Patrick with the #2 pick, who is a Center. They have Rubtsov who is highly regarded as well as Frost who is a Center I believe. I know we can't count on all of them developing but as Giroux approaches 30 and with his smaller stature it makes sense looking long term to see if Giroux can acclimate to the Wing. It could help extend his career.

Rubstov might never be a center (and was playing wing last year in the Q). Giroux probably shifts to wing during his career, but the guy has been a fantastic center for several seasons...he doesn't need to get "acclimated" to playing wing

Rubtsov might wind up as a center and the Flyers might view him as a center. If Giroux is going to play wing, it would certainly help to acclimate himself to the new position before the season starts. Pros and cons.

2 first round picks regardless of where they're projected to be plus Lehtera was a pretty significant overpay for St. Louis.

On one hand I am glad Hextall addressed the personell, because in my view they simply weren't good enough, On the other, we will have to wait and see how the assets coming back pan out and if Schenn takes another step forward....on paper it looks like a good deal for the Flyers ...I guess we'll see.
