A few thoughts

-I'm not watching the game but I'm getting updates. Travis Sanheim. He's big, he's young, he's a threat from the blue line. If he's making decisions tough on management and the coaching staff, the answer is simple. Trade, send down or waive Brandon Manning. Even if someone takes him, we have Myers and Alt as possible call ups.

-I'm not in favor of Giroux on LW but than MJL as always made an interesting point. G playing on the wing could prolong his career. Now I don't think playing with Couturier is the answer. Cora is gifted for playing the tough minutes against tough opponents. As the season goes on and if Patrick earns it, maybe we see G on the left of Patrick and Simmonds as a legitimate top line. I'm not saying right now but maybe as soon as next season.

I think some of that confidence is being wasted on the perimeter and they need more confidence in making plays at the net and taking shots. It works. Pucks go in when you go to the net. Of the 5 you mention, Konecny has been letting shots go. He's looked good tonight.
