I'm not as pissed about Lindblom potentially being cut as I am Morin. Lindblom will be up by Thanksgiving anyway you slice (the turkey) it.

I just can't make that guarantee with the questionable use of trash D year after year.

I've never felt like this team has ever struggled to score goals but more so struggled to score clutch or timely goals. Jake will get his 20. Simmonds his 30. I think each player will fill his quota but not in away that will get us closer to a deep playoff run or Stanley Cup. Maybe not even the playoffs.

I feel like Ho-Sang is gonna be the Islanders Konecny. A guy they'll love to have but others will hate.

I love Konecny and his game but a lot of his chatter comes from a ref getting in between him and the player looking to kill him. Kind of a "hold me back guy, he's gonna get it" while knowing he's the one who likely to get creamed.

The difference, if there even is one, is not going to elevate the team. In other words this team isn't a contender and keeping a veteran over a rookie isn't going to elevate the team. Nor is keeping a rookie over a veteran going to keep the team from contending . So let's get the future started. We'll see what they do.
