I was at the game. When Guddy left the penalty box (after his fight) the whole bench stood and banged their sticks over the boards. You can see why Luuu and Willie lost their poop on twitter when FLA traded him. He's a popular player in the room and been good this year. But his value stretches further off ice, than on it.

As much as I want one of the top picks this year, its hard not to cheer and enjoy what we've seen so far.

I like what I've seen from him this year. Wrecking ball in our end, makes guys think twice. Probably the first guy since Jovo that makes a guy lift his head up when he comes into our zone on the regular.

Do you think it was possible that the Canucks would score 6 goals and both Sedin's get zero points.

Amen. We all want what's best in the future, but being part of an energetic winning team is not going to hurt the young talent that we already possess.

Boy did Washington look disinterested tonight. 1st period looked they looked like last year's Canucks.

If there is an unsung hero so far this season Tanev has been money. He's making everyone around him better and has added some offense as well.
- Nuck4U

time to trade him....

Agree with Caps but they have been here for a couple days now. Also Canucks have problems coming back from long Eastern trips. So its a wash for tonight.

Plus shouldn't compare WD who lead with the Sedins and Virbata on stock PP to win games. This team is vastly different and trending in the right direction with the younger players leading the way.

I'd add a key also is vets like Tanev being healthy and playing well to steady the rest of D filling in for the injured.

- Nuck4U

Maybe it's time to capitalize on this guy and trade him...

sell high...

get a 1st round pick and prospect from a team that has some injuries or a bad start...

The Habs need to salvage their season, get Mete - good young d man and a 1st...

But nothing Donna. This is the new NHL. Look at the coyotes with their young analytic front office and their young players and their cap space and big trades and winless record.

So Burmy hit the 100 point mark last night in 333 games.

So did Baertschi in 216 games.

Dorsett with his 50th career goal in 505 games.

Can we ignore Loui Eriksson for the next 5 years like he never was here?

Good news. If signed before December 31st, it makes him AHL eligible, next season.

Yeah I'm diggin everything about Guddys game this year, he's the type of Dman every team needs, and we don't have anyone like him in our system. He could potentially be a part of this team for a long time as he's only 25. It would be ashamed to lose him already, via trade like some suggest, given the fact we gave up McCann, who could very well turn out to be a top 6 in the future.
