Don't worry guys, we'll bring back Jiri Dopita.
Jani Rita is probably NHL ready by now. Got Alex Plante and Danny Syvret in the pipeline to shore up that D.

Dopita at least cracked the roster I believe. Jani Rita was like 56 overall on nhl 2004 or whatever it was. Anyone remember that one russian from the mid 2000s that was supposed to be good but never came over?

Hall isn't even great, he's good at getting points, but that's still a reach. Horrible defensively, turnover machine. He had two seasons where he had a high point total. Plus look at New Jersey's defense. It went to poop after the trade and their scoring barely went up. Edmonton's scoring didn't suffer and their defense rose astronomically.
have u watched him play ever? Forget that, just this season? Hall is absolutely dominating right now. Leading the 8-2 devils in pretty much every category. Tell jersey fans he’s not that great. See what they think...one of the best left wingers in the game.
Add him to our squad up front and we have a lethal group.
Seguin was a bad deal. No doubt about it.
Wouldn't have Seguin (ignore the trade) or Hamilton without trading Kessel. That move helped a lot more than it hurt them.
Dude, do you not remember everyone poopting on Eberle last season? Small memories you guys have. Shoulda got more than Strome for sure, but Eberle is afraid to go in corners and although he improved his defense quite a lot last season, he was still liable. And would you rather have Draisaitl, Strome and McDavid or deal with Eberle's cap hell?
I don’t care that people made ebs the scapegoat. I didn’t. Dude has scored a premium clip his entire career. And he’s right on ice for the same. It was an awful step backwards for a team that couldn’t afford step backwards. Strome is a decently talented 3rd liner at best from what I’ve seen thus far. I’da waited and dealt ebs after this season if necessary. Making moves like a team that’s already won a cup shedding salary...
Wheeler didn't do poop until 2011-2012. Peverly helped them win the cup, Wheeler had 27 points in 58 games. It's not the same Wheeler.
He still dealt Blake wheeler. One of the best all around right wingers in the game. Doesn’t change my point that he did in fact deal hi
Boychuk got them Carlo and Ryan Lindgren who, according to scouting reports, has a lot of upside. And while yes, Chiarelli didn't make those picks, he got them those draft picks. They were forced to trade him because of the cap issues.
Pc VASTLY underrated what boychuk did for them as a 3. He basically carried the d Corp with chara down and they still won a presidents trophy. It was a huge step back they took immediately after that trade.
You need to simmer down. You're overreacting. Honestly you're normally level-headed and think things through (minus Russell, which you're still wrong about) but this is just pure rage when it's still very early. They play 52 games against the west, so far they've played 4 games and they're 3-1-0. They do need to get their poop together, but don't forget Sekera is out. - FransNielson
How am I wrong about russel? He’s untradeable till at least his 3rd year of his deal. He can’t carry the 2nd pairing, He’s basically turned into our 4th best defender even with sekera out. When he’s on the ice there’s almost no movement of the puck in a positive direction and gets possession rinsed on a nightly basis and hemmed in. It’s always panic time when he’s out there. And literally not an ounce of offensive acumen. And that’s pretty much been his entire career.
Best case for the team is paying him those dollars to play on the 3rd pair. 4mil for a 3rd pair guy long term is awful
I don’t care about east/west. There’s good teams in the west too. U bleed too many points and you’re not gonna be able to catch up. U can look it up, but The flames started last year with a similar record and I’m pretty sure they had to win at a clip of one of the top few teams in the league the rest of the way just to grab a wildcard spot.
It’s not impossible or over. But with so much parity it ain’t that far statistically speaking

Dude you just gotta chill out. Everything is fine and Chia definitely has a plan. Its called let McD and Talbot win every game. What could go wrong?

This exactly.
I fell azz backwards into Connor and talbot, so it’s cool if I piss away cap space and assets for half the value.
Losing that game late in the 3rd against Pitts (like we did against Washington ) was Shades of Oiler past. Not enough scoring depth, pretty fragile, mistake prone. We all saw it coming as soon as they got that pp.
Is what it is, but after dealing hall/ebs- probably nuge soon, it sucks to think that all those years of failure might end up in just a mediocre team with not much depth
Maybe looch or another secondary scorer can go on a tear and help turn this around. Otherwise, we're probably Fuked
(frank)'n Chia man.
Oh, and to top all of this BS off.
Calgary, (frank)ING CALGARY, a team STACKED on defense, ended up with Hamonic. Both Ebs and Hamonic had a down year last year, and the trade made perfect sense for both teams.
As for the Taylor Hall trade. Would I have loved to get Subban instead? Hell yeah. But, I just don't understand how NJ didn't see a package of say Ebs and some other quality forward other than Hall (and RNH???) as enticing enough to make the offer. Loving Larsson (still think that he has more offensive potential than you guys might think), but Subban>Larsson any freaking day of the week. Should have been Larsson + 1st coming back our way for Hall honestly (developmental risk assessment, etc).

Holy hell, that would have looked freaking amazing.
You'd think that Chia would have learned from his mistakes from Boston. I fell for that motion of thought.

DONE. I'm officially sick of refuting the same points over and goddam over again every time someone decides to post their weak-ass arguments. I'm done.

Trolled.
Muhahahaha.
Out of all the people to fall for that comment. Quite surprised. Was expecting Leon to get all tripped up honestly, or the typical Iggy response.
Edit: PS, I'm bored. Finally finished with my midterms, so, yeah. May Larsson's might forgive me for giving you, Mr.Bone, any distress for my actions!

I think most of our issues this year is that there are too many passengers... Maroon,Lucic and the rest of secondary players have flat out sucked!!!! Maroon in particular has been gifted a chance of a lifetime, on a contract year he is mediocre at best.....Maybe some more shake ups are in order
Nuge rocks this year. So glad we traded Hall and Ebs before him. On pace for 37 goals, and 52 points right now with a 55.8% faceoff percentage. Still early but he's worked on what he needs to and is really performing well. Hopefully the rest of these chumps start pulling their weight.

Really? I would have rather traded RNH before Hall without a second thought.
As for RNH faceoffs improvement..... this explains why.
Honestly speaking now, if we go back to that trade made in 2016. Hell yeah, a million times. Anyone would say the same thing. That trade would be a steal for us if that were the case.

My point was ....nobody was gonna give us larsson for eberle !!!!
