Kessel is a really good player. Funny how he went from having a massive spot light on him to being sort of overshadowed by Crosby and Malkin.
Please score a bunch of goals tonight, I;m up against murray. The Pens have had a few bad games keeping the puck out the net, so it could be a chance for your offense to get their mojo back. |

When is someone going to question our not so good coach it seams his only answer to poor results is changing the lines
Maybe he should start coaching the hockey game instead of dreaming up new combinations.
EXample: Everyone is saying Strome is not getting it done yet he has not played with Draisaitl or Mcdavid for more than a few shifts. I would love to see the lines actually stay the same for 3 or 4 games and change the game plan a little maybe a little less of a possession game and more of a dump and chase at least with our heavier lines.
Just sayin |

You guys need some grit, some toughness. The kind of player who spends more time in the penalty box than on the ice. You guys need Ryan Reeves.
We will very humbly trade you Reeves for Jokinen, straight up. |

I like the team despite the bad start. Think they will get things going, but if they don't... I agree with cdk5200. The coach should be public enemy number one, and I am a big McLellan fan.
I don't agree with all the Chiarelli hate. Or that our winger depth is an issue. Relatively speaking wingers don't mean jack in todays NHL. Sekera is injured and Klefbom is sucking, badly. That's our issue right now more so than winger/secondary scoring IMO.
Hope the team comes out screaming tonight and obliterates the Pens. Get things back on track. |

Oilers are playing slow... None of our D can make that outlet pass so we can gain speed going in on the attack. Sekera is greatly missed... They'll probably have to ask Lord Larsson to play a more offensive role, as none of the Zorches on our D can get the job done at the moment.

This isn't a coaching issue... its simply a lack of depth. Our horrible past drafting and injuries have bitten us right on the cock. |

I don't think it's wrong to question some of the coaching staffs decision-making, but they're not where I look currently. The team is possessing the puck, getting chances but just aren't getting the bounces and aren't making smart defensive plays. These are mostly issues with individuals; not indicative of a systemic issue within the organization. |

Bounces not going our way is a problem and that will start to turn around at some point. |

Haven't watched many Oilers games this year, but I'm really starting to wonder when the blame does land on Chiarelli? The Oilers could be built like the leafs right now had they kept their forward group intact. (i.e, kept Hall, and not signed Larsson). The trade for Griffin Reinhart has to be one of the worst trades to ever occur in the NHL as Chiarelli gave up a high pick (which turned into Matt Barzal for the Islanders) and a second for a player that they could expose in the expansion draft. I even would have kept Yakupov around as the league shifts to a faster more dynamic era where having 3 skilled scoring lines is key.
Just looking for an Oilers fans' take on the matter because the biggest issue to me seems to have been the mismanagement of the roster over the past 2-3 seasons. Keeping Taylor Hall, and potentially adding Barzal to all the high end talent upfront would have made the Oilers the most exciting team to watch in the NHL every shift, instead of just when McD is on the ice |
