Can't take my eyes off him when he hits the ice, also his ability to strip other team of the puck, which he does alot. Also have to add that the worst trade in history included sending Olli Jokkenin away. A thought the next to players after Rick were Heatley and Gaborik. |

Snowy and Isles fans have Don Sweeney to thank for Barzal. With 3 straight picks in a bumper crop draft, it was somehow a good idea to pass on Barzal/Connor in favor of DeBrusk and Senyshen. The Zoboril pick was ok but that made it 1 out of 3. It was then a good idea to trade a 3rd round pick for Zac Rinaldo. |

$12 mil annually for Tavares? So he's going get paid more than:
Crosby
Ovechkin
McDavid
Stamkos
Kopitar
Bergeron
Kane
and such...
Tavares gets like 8 and 80, most likely. I would both gain and lose respect for him if he stays with the Isle. |

I have to say that you write a really good article. Dont think anybody on HB can write quite like this. |

The suv sitting at the glass in about the most disrespectful thing I have ever seen an arena do to its customers. I don’t know how many good seats that vehicle occupies, but it tells me the arena has zero interest in making attendance at the rink a positive experience |

Sorry, you're absolutely right. Boeser looks awesome! That's exactly the type of player the Flyers need - a finisher. |

"They beat Ottawa in regulation and Pelech was a 2nd rd pick not a 1st. Clean it up Jay"
He's talking about DeHaan, not Pelech as the 1st rounder and if you are going to be snotty get the other fact right at least. Pelech was a THIRD rounder his year behind Reinhart and Pokke in Rds 1 and 2. |

BOS may have undervalued Barzal or figured they had enough skilled forwards so they targeted other skills with their picks. Can't say Sweeney is unlucky if he landed Macavoy later in 2016 draft.
Snow's targeted picks in the 1st rd that he traded to acquire or move down for include Bailey 2008 (parlayed original pick to get additional lower rd picks), DeHaan 2009 (after taking JT), Nelson 2010 (after taking Nino who later became starter Clutterbuck plus picks), Ho Sang 2014, Barzal 2015 (after trading Reinhart 2012), Beauvillier 2015. Plus the trade for Leddy who was Minny's 2011 1st rd. |

He wasn't being snotty hence the . It was sarcasam besides Jay still being wrong in what he wrote. Calvin DeHaan was a 1st rd pick in 2009 so obviously he's referring to Pelech. If you're going to correct someone at least do it correctly - Cptmjl

Calvin De Haan and Adam Pelech–the latter another No. 1 pick (2013)– are a good second pair"
Do you what "the latter means"? Because if you did you would know he wasn't talking about Dehaan but you were right about Pelech being a 3rd rd pick so you get partial credit |

Boston really blew it in that draft. I remember watching that draft and was blown away by Don Sweeney and his poor draft picks. |
