Bob Duff: Is Blashill On Notice After an embarrassing 10-1 loss at Montreal, their seventh straight loss, Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill will be under the microscope as the Detroit Wings begin a seven-game homestand Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Better to let Holland and his puppet Blashill crash and burn the rest of the season and collect that much needed lottery pick. Hopefully Ilitch Jr. will do the right thing and fire both of them at season's end. Get rid of the front office and scouting department too. We need to stop rewarding failure.

No point. Sell Mrazek and Green for picks, Sign Frk, Larkin, Mantha, and ride out the next 3 years until some of these contracts expire. Adjusting deficiencies right now will not benefit the team, nor make them a contender.

I don't think Kenny will be fired, unfortunately. His contract will run out and they'll either kick him upstairs with Jimmy D or wish him all the best in his future endeavours elsewhere. I hope he's not kicked upstairs. That means we'll not only have a puppet head coach, but a puppet GM too. I don't want Draper or Martin as the next puppet GM. I'd puke.

I'd like Dean Lombardi as the GM and hopefully he'd hire Dave Tippett as head coach. We need an experienced NHL GM and especially an experienced NHL head coach. I'm not saying the talent we have is good enough to be a Cup contender by any means. But they should be a playoff team. Blashill has gotten nothing out of this team. Blow it up. Start over.
