first.

we suck.

But we will be playing close to .500 hockey the rest of the way if the D stays healthy and the Erod and Josefson (when he comes back) are leading the 4th line

Agreed but sometimes you got to accept defeat ..

Lots of people are going to get angry when we don’t get the value that people think we’re going to get I think the max you’ll get for him is probably a late first-round pick

- GERBE!!!75PTS

The thing is, no one would be admitting defeat. JBotts did not draft Reinhart, so he does not have anything invested in him that would make him think twice about trading him.

I call BS on what Briere said about being Buffalo being able to sign both himself and Drury combined for less than what they paid for Vanek.

Even if the rumor was true that both would sign 5x$5M deals, that is equal to the total amount of Vanek's salary, and their combined cap hit would be $3M more than Vanek got.

Let's be honest, the best thing we could have done in hindsight was spend the money on both Vanek and Briere and let Drury walk.

C'est la vie. Buffalo News rehashing old business. I'm surprised they haven't figured out a way to blame Pegula for it. For Briere's part, he still didn't have to leave, but he wanted to.

He left after the team showed zero interest in resigning him.

hey fellas,

I'd like to see the Jets look into ROR. do you think he would be moved? What type of package do you think it would take? and do you think the Sabres would eat 1-2 million per year on his deal to get more back?

thanks

So with Seattle getting an NHL team, that's likely a vote of confidence for the Coyotes, right. I guess they still could relocate to a western city (Kansas City, San Antonio, Houston?) but they must think they'll be moving back to Phoenix. I bet they change back to the Phoenix Coyotes if that happens just to give a big FU to Glendale

Tyler Myers will have to be a part of the package.

Seriously I'd take him though. Our D blows.

Sure, send us Trouba and Roslovic and we'll keep $2.5m of ROR's salary.

I hope not. And if he is moved, it's very unlikely Botts would eat salary. Maybe he would for the remainder of the year (idk if that's allowed), but not over the life of the contract. Eating 2m per year would mean the jets are paying 5.5 per. To get that deal, I would want Trouba, a forward prospect and a 1st.

My best case scenario is he stays

I'd entertain Enstrom or Wheeler as a part of a package.

Wheeler ? There’s no way in hell they trade him

He went from a “ok” player to a all star after he left Boston

If your dealing ROR you have to put in consideration the “lockout “

That’s why it’s smart to trade for up and coming players such as Kyle Connor Fits our rebuild perfectly for us

I agree, asking for Buffalo to eat 2 million is too much, I would be hoping for them to eat a million per year and even that I doubt. I think whoever suggested Connor straight up is a very fair deal. Asking for Trouba or Morrisey plus Connor or Raslovic is too much. As much as I know how much he'd help us now it would probably mean we can not re sign Wheeler in a year. I was hoping for a Logan Stanley and first rounder deal, maybe throw in a Nic Petan or Marko Dano. But I totally get why you want and expext Connor or Raslovic back.

It's so sad that any hockey fan that is paying any bit of attention knew this was coming the moment they signed the last contract.

Yeah it's not a great idea, I'm just shooting from the hip. They would have been nice to have 4 years ago.

I like Duclair, reminds me of Kane. Maybe more upside potential cause he seems to have a better head on his shoulders for a young guy. Kane at his age was an azz hat
