A couple years ago Benning was in the phase of reaching for success, trading a prospect like Forsling for Clendening, I don't think he's of the same frame of mind now.

The Pouliot deal was a no-brainer, Pedan wasn't going to play and a 4th can be recovered at the TDL or draft floor.

Hopefully we don't see the Canucks trading anymore recently drafted kids for shortcuts to success.
