I didn't include you with the naysayers so why identify with them? Nor do I recall any input from you on that specific topic with me as you were away most of the time. Yeah you have always said draft more centers. I am with you on this point.

But you are wrong about the responses I got from others on Center need with Comets and Subban trade chip. It wasn't he couldn't get you the targets I had suggested. They were not high drafted prospects. They were comparable on track prospects (3rd-5th round) with upside potential on teams deep at Center position. The value would have been higher for Canucks to have them continue to develop with Comets with more opportunity.

I never over valued Subban and was perplexed about the fuss over him.
But I saw he had good numbers last season in the year of the small D man emerging and thought trade high on the hype. Before he's really exposed. Remember Cull, as opposition coach, thought high of him. But may of us knew better to fall for the hype and just hoped someone else would.

Kings already have a top goaltending prospect in Cal Petersen. Kid was amazing in training camp this season, but they elected to go with Kuemper as the more experienced option. They also have Jack Campbell, who also had a strong camp showing, and who is putting up solid number in Ontario on the goaltending tandem with Petersen. Throw Kehler in the mix, and there will be an interesting logjam in goal next season.

The obvious move would be to promote Campbell to be Quick's backup since he is no longer waiver exempt while Petersen & Kehler are, but Petersen is outperforming him in the AHL so far this season.

It's certainly a good problem to have.

Yeah considering the price for a young back up with starter potential is worth

For the people bitter about the subban trade

I don't see any bitterness out there even in the crazy twitter sphere do you?

But yeah, Dowd can be clutch given the opportunity. Did it for Monarchs. Saw highlight of him scoring OT goal against Pens of all teams. Did any of Dowd's competition with Canucks even get on the ice in OT...?

Not to mention that the Kings seem to be exceptional at extracting talent out of goaltenders.

Quick
Bernier
Scrivens
Jones
Budaj

All of these goaltenders did exceptionally well for L.A. In the case of those no longer with the organization, Lombardi was able to net a solid return for them. The fact that 3 of them couldn't continue their success outside of L.A. is beside the point.

another lie you want to paint with no merit or evidence... give it a break...

I could easily surmise that you talked so much about Subban it sounded like the big girl in school in love with a good looking dude and hitting them for attention.

Yeah LA always seems to pump up their goalies and get value for them... Canucks did it once with this Taco Tuesday kid to Canes.
