Everywhere has their shlt wine. Look for something with Touriga Nacional on the label. Dry and tannic.

Or if you prefer something a little lighter the Pinot Noir I recommended to Lefty is amazing.

I'm taking the wine making course up here and it has completely opened my eyes to different regions around the world.

I used to be exclusively new world and then had an awakening.
Introduced the wine world to my wife and have created a monster (that I can cheerfully live with) and my Scottish heritage encourages bargains. So Portugal is on our radar.

It's nice not having to spend $50 plus for a quality bottle.

Jokes aside, I hope he does. He's doing all the other things right and deserves one.

I’m actually serious, good hockey sense, not an elite (for the NHL) shot, but so unlucky so far.

I like a lot of local wines but I think France still is the best. The gap is closing though
- VANTEL

At the very top of the Market, and hen very bottom, the big 3 (France, Italy, Spain) are still superior IMO, for BC wine they are fitting into this $20-$30 sweet spot. For instance, you noted that you are enjoying Pinot Noir lately. From France you get very average Pinot Noir in that price range, but from BC, or New Zealand or the US, even Chile, you can get an excellent bottle. For under $10 anything from Canada isn’t actually Canadian wine most likely, and not very good, but from Spain, you can still get a decent bottle.

I tried Chile . I really like Chateauneuf de Pape and recently have been trying a few from the Rhone area. I really like them a lot. Once I latch on I become a regular

LOve ❤️ Naramata. Have some good friends there out by the fire station. Just finished the Spanish, then a splash of Poplar Grove Merlot, now because of all the talk of Portugal I opened a Douro red.
