The two Sams, Reinhart and Bennett, were among top 4 picks in '14 draft. Both struggling terribly now. Common denominator? Both rushed to the NHL with very little AHL time to learn their craft. Reinhart played 3 AHL games, Bennett played none.

I am on the Carolina watch, if they make the playoffs Buffalo might have the longest playoff droughts in both leagues. Maybe Pegula should by the Timberwolves and the Mariners so he can have a clean sweep.

After watching the Sabres chase the puck all around the ice last night because they couldn't win a draw, I am in favour of keeping ROR and his $7.5 million salary. At least with him in the line-up they win draws and they have the semblance of a strong #1/#2 down the middle. Without him, you have a bunch of clowns behind Jack.

There has been lots of people dumping on ROR on this blog. I say we get rid of Bogo, Okposo, Gorges, Pommer and other bloated, under performing contracts before we get to ROR. We have nobody coming through the system who could step in now or next year to be a #2 C. All of these other clowns can be replaced at low salaries by guys like Antipin, Guhle, Bailey, Baptiste, CJ Smith etc.
