Closer to some elite talent good sir. I dont disagree with Elliot being probably the best option they were left with, but as an organization thats the corner they put themselves in willingly. - flyer_nutter
Again a contradiction. Signing Elliott is an indication that they are rebuilding which is what you claim you want them to do. Yet you complain about it and repeatedly post the fallacy in asking the question if all 30 teams would take Elliott as a ridiculous attempt to discredit the move. |

So with the Flyers 30th ranked PK, you would suggest that the Flyers play more of a undisciplined game and take more penalties? - MJL
I'm simply curious how you could actually back up the broad claim full of inaccuracies that the PK issues are merely a matter of personnel...
Tried to use the typical patronizing, elitist and deflective language you use there to make it more understandable for you. |

When you're ready to have an actual conversation about it without the latter, let me know. Not until.

The question was good signing. Not excellent signing. Elliott has got this team around 15 points they probably didn't deserve so far. He was also brought in to fill a hole while the rebuild happens ... that's right the rebuild that everyone says should have been over by now won't be over for 2 more years and that was Hextall's focus from day 1. You want to know the last piece reaching the roster that finishes his plan? Carter Hart or Felix Sandstrom. Who gets the Flyers to them Brian Elliott who's been damn good this year at a position this team has a history of flopping at finding the right fit for. I'll say that was a good signing. |

Trying hard not to give any spoilers. I found one of the cities they visited to be kind of a waste of time. The overall story was kind of meh, along with some new "force elements" they added. The writing wasn't great.
Entertaining though. - flyer_nutter

You get challenged on a claim you can't back up and you cower behind flippant elitism.. Pattern much?
Why do you even come here? |

It's a combo of personnel and coaching (coaching that again Hakstol has a hand in but it's not the commanding hand). No matter what the issue is as a head coach if my PK (frank)ING sucked as much as this teams does do you think I'm accepting stupid penalties like Patrick took last night when he's to a key piece of my team going forward? |

Truth says you can't back it up.
And your longstanding behavioral patterns of deflection and avoidance.
I can tolerate someone making really bad claims often (like you) but someone who hides behind them and doesn't back them up (also you) that's pathetic. |

Not all signings have to be for the now... I hate to say it but I believe Hextall is pulling a Hinkie without the bravado. He knew signing the people he did wouldn't make them competitive but would fill the gaps until he could filter in the prospects little by little to form a team that is what he envisions. I just hope he's right in doing it that way. |
