I stand corrected on the first point. I personally agree that Provorov and Gostisbehere should not be paired together but that's not because of the off base opinion you have of Gostisbehere. You claim that the best PP defenseman in the league should not be on the first PP unit.

You could have made the argument that the Flyers 1st PP unit would not be as good this year because Brayden Schenn had a lot of goals and they would not be able to part with him. But they seem to be doing just fine. Ghost is the beneficiary of playing with four VERY good 5v4 players. You can't say he is the best PP D based just on assists. How many points would he have on the 2nd unit? Not many. But he should if he is the reason for the success.

Your analysis of his play on this team is seriously flawed. Ghost is the best person to have as the one D on PP1. Remember the reason they made the playoffs his rookie year? Oh yeah it was his replacing Streit and becoming a force on the PP and OT. Yes he's a liability at 5v5 but that's when you pair him with Provorov the best defensive guy. Even pairing him with Hagg who is solid isn't a bad pair.
