You might be right. But I am not sure. I would like to see Provorov on the 1st unit. You could be right, but it could be the same or better. He has a knack for making nifty passes and has a really nice shot.

You can say that it was Ghost that propelled them to the playoffs, but remember he was not a liability that year playing 5v5 because of who he was partnered with. In fact, he started playing well when a certain defender was recalled from the Phantoms, as did the rest of the team.

Provorov is NOT the best defensive guy, he is the best two way guy, and he doesn't have the sort of "I will make sure to cover your butt above all else" instinct it takes to play with Ghost 5v5. IF you say Ghost is the best offensive D man, then Provy is at LEAST #2. So you wast your #2 offensive defender to cover for Ghost? Makes no sense. That leaves you with two stay home guys playing on the 2nd pair, and IDK what the third pair is. Looks like Mandog is the new Ghost?

My ranks overall for this d:
Provorov
Hagg
A Mac
Ghost
Gudas
Sanheim
Manning

That's 100% not true. He knows his hockey 101 quite well.

There is one choice you forgot in your first paragraph. The first pp could also be worse with Provy instead of Ghost.

Good thing Weise is a vet. Otherwise he might have to sit for such a lazy, needless penalty.

Edit: In all seriousness, if that was Patrick or Konecny, they'd be sat. Weise doesn't miss a shift.

Actually that case I doubt they get stapled. They probably get a talking to on the bench about stick control

Why can't Weise get the sane? Vet or not, seems like he could use a reminder.

I expected the Flyers to play much better than they did last night but I did not expect them to win.

Again as I said earlier today.. Is Weise going to be here when they contend? Nope. Why care about him. It's about getting the ones who will be here to buy in.

They had it in the bag once the final buzzer sounded. After that, never a doubt.
