These picks would have very little to play with.

That’s the rub, not complaining about being bad, that’s expected, complaining about being bad with people in charge who believe in being good now, when that is not realistic.

But for me personally, I think JB actually knows the score and is just saying what he think so the owner wants to hear.

Getting a high draft pick is only half/part of the picture, you've gotta make it count and then develop that kid or the pick was essentially useless. The only high pick he's appeared to have wasted is the Virtanen pick.

Jets and flames struggled to find great goaltending, now they have that and there rolling nicely.

Slightly dissapointed. I had Blake McLaughlin and Blade Jenkins as steals in 3/4 round. Both cracked top 30 on NA list.

Bouchard has jumped up quite a bit, he could easily be a top10 pick now. Could he be top5?

Still either could be a our second round pick. I personally am thinking we should pick this Alexeyev kid, another fast rising guy. He might be a 1st rounder though. he's coming to Victoria in February and I'll get to watch him, but the tape looks really good. Akil Thomas I think is looking really good too, if we got another 1st rounder he would be a great pick IMO.
