Thank you CS.
so how many games does EG have to be out? or he isn't on ltir?
is it more than back spasms?
edit: sorry, at least a week.
mixed feelings about the resigning Vanek talk. I'd like to see him traded for something, if he wanted to come back after, that's good too I guess, but wouldn't bank on that. |

It will be a huge disappointment for many, if Vanek is re-signed.
Bad enough this team will have to re-sign the twins, but bringing back Vanek is
totally wrong.
How about finding some speed please.
I may join Lefty on the "Benning is a complete idiot" train. |

Maybe it still isn't a rebuild?
I think they still want name power and the appearance of competing or icing a competitive product is why they would resign Vanek. Spending to the cap and trying to sell tickets.
I'd be more in favor of bringing back Chaput. Make prospects earn their opportunities, get some time in with Utica and learn the game. And when they are ready or more than ready, it shouldn't be an issue of taking a fringe guy out of the lineup to make way for the ready prospect.
Look at Puljujarvi, he wasn't ready for the jump and a year in the ahl has done him good.
There has to be some players that prospects have to beat for spots and yet those players have to be of some nhl calibre if those prospects aren't ready. |

Maybe? they have never announced a rebuild just a retool on the fly. Just like Aquilini, he never rebuilt a leaky condo he built he just retooled on the fly. |

Whatever the term TL was caught using, rebuild, retool, not tank anyway.
I just see them trying to be competitive and drafting as well as they can.
not very often they totally rebuild leaky condos. the business getting ahead of how to build the best team. |

When you bring in Vets to insulate prospects then you should at least try not to finish bottom five every year.
You don't want the kids to be in a losing environment. Huge fail by Canucks because that is exactly what this is.

And how’s that worked out for them? - Nucker101
yep. If everyone was healthy, I think they would be in the wildcard hunt. not a lock for sure.
since they are not, I hope they take full advantage of tdl.

A lot of teams would be better if they stayed healthy. |

Anybody know what Gadjovich is out with? He has only played one game since returning from the WJ. That was two weeks ago.
Michael DiPietro is 2nd in the OHL in GAA, 2nd in SV%, 1st in shutouts and tied for 4th in wins (among OHL starters)
#Canucks prospect Lukas Jasek with 1G and 2A today for Liberec
He now has 14 PTS (6-8-14) in 37 ExtraLiga games
He has 5 points (3-2-5) in his last two games |

I liked how they started out the season.
my biggest concern was if they could keep up the tempo and attacking style.
I think we miss DD and when Sutter was out for that stretch. then Bo...
I'm okay with JB's drafting, just hope he improves his deal making |

Thanks Carol! And nice touch on the “might resign” Vanek bit! You have got the hysteria flowing strong today |
