I also like the way okposo has been playing as of late. He has shown glimpses of greatness and joy for playing the game. I'm sure the set back was not just challenging physically, but took a serious mental toll as well. Sometimes we tend to overlook the latter, which as a player I considered the tougher hurdle to overcome in many cases.

pham has been making this point for a while: regardless of the coach (lindy, Bylsma, Housley,) the Sabres are notorious for getting off to horrendous starts...he attributes that to not being able to handle pressure of meaningful games early in the season...

later in the season when the pressure is off, they play better, looser...

I attribute that to lack of on-ice leadership which has been missing since drury/briere

I thought the Sabres would win last night.....didn't realize the blue moon was tonight and not last night.

Devils are a very good team. Could be very serious contenders for the cup in the next few years. How the fragglerock did they get Hall for nothing BTW? Would have been a very nice acquisition for the Sabres
