Maybe it's just me but:

Pommer is an all around great guy with one of the biggest goals in sabres history vs. Ottawa.
Part of one of the great eras of sabres hockey. Also dresses every game and clearly is a leader , former captain.

Kane is a selfish and a bad teammate. Zero playoff goals. He has been part of the worst hockey in sabres history. Also injury prone.

I guess it's more than just shooting a rubber puck.

Same reason I like and root for okposo. Great dude and teammate.
