Good read as always. This team is just not talented enough. They also lack heart & compete a lot of the time. Lehner is not and will never be a take over the game goalie. He is a solid starter and IMO if he played on a team that had a average/above average NHL D corps me thinks he would shine.

No interest in making cousins the highest paid QB in the league. If he was so good Washington might of did something the last couple years.

I don't get the love for cousins...at least not at $30 million-plus/season on a long-term deal...and the bills have too many holes to fill to be throwing around a first-rounder
just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less |

it was a manic month of lows (losing six of seven) and highs (a western Canada sweep) |

No thank you on Weber. That contract is atrocious.
Montreal has two of the worst contracts in the league between price and Weber. |

if you want a rivers/stafford type qb for the next 5 years with brees upside
you get him
otherwise you roll the dice with a rookie |

I predict a QB competition between Peterman and Fitz/McCown, with the Rookie we draft this year taking over in week 13 |

I would take that contract on, but Montreal would have to take Bogo & Pommer from us.. Weber would help our D for sure... |

My guess is the Kane move back to Eichels wing is a showcase for a weekend move. |

He has had no talent... hence the reason he wouldn't sign with them.
If he was smart, Cleveland would be his choice. With their cap and picks they could build a serious team around him. |

I was thinking more along the lines of a stop-gap vet for the next year, maybe even two, while they develop a young qb...
bills still have a lot of holes--dt, de, lb, wr, ol--to plug--and not a lot of cap-space...hopefully they'll be able to use free agency and the draft to take care of at least a couple of those |

tsn has "tradecenter match game"
evander kane--Pittsburgh, san jose, Vancouver
"Pittsburgh Penguins: The Penguins have been linked to Kane because, well, which big name has GM Jim Rutherford not been in the mix for over the years? Rutherford would like to add an impact winger with scoring punch along with a much-needed third line centre. The Metropolitan Division is wide open for the Penguins to make a run at a third Cup. Rutherford has the relationship with Sabres GM Jason Botterill, his former assistant, and the Penguins’ leadership core is one of the few that can unquestionably handle the injection of a complex personality like Kane."
I think the la kings should be second on the list |
