Shaq Lawson is one guy I would not mind trading

another bust

- homiedclown

His injuries were something the team screwed up on when they drafted him

I still think there's hope for him

Once 2019 hits and Dareus's $14 million comes off the books this team will be looking much better cap wise

Hughes isn't going anywhere, almost $6 million in dead cap space if he is released or traded
- Stripes77

Almost everything I've read and heard is that he is gone.

Yeah. His value hasn't recovered from the OT loss in Carolina
- jcragcrumple

Babcock promotes hard work. Not saying Eichel can't show that effort in future, but we haven't seen it yet.

We've already got JVR and Bozak mailing it in.

my guess is sign and trade
agent already allowed to talk to other teams

he will not become a free agent

- homiedclown

This still means Cousins would have to sign it as well.

Also could really really screw up Washington if he doesn't accept a trade (or no team is willing to give up anything for him)

It would make Washington pay over $50 million to two QBs.

I would laugh hysterically

these Kane haters no nothing about hockey

they need to get a f@cking life

- homiedclown

I don't hate Kane, I just don't think he is worth the value being talked about.

At 5MM I'd be all for it for 3-4 years. At 7X7, I have to pass.

Butler wasn't bad, Ralph was too hands on with the team though

I'd send a late second for him but I wouldn't send a first for him

Washington would have to franchise him again for them to get anything for him.

Washington really screwed up here

- Stripes77

They can’t let him walk for a 3rd rounder either. In the end they screwed up majorly.

I’d imagine if a deal isn’t worked out they’ll tag him in hopes of giving them more time to work out a sign and trade scenario with a team.

Yeah, it would probably be more like Eichel for a 4th or 5th

I don't think they'd do the deal regardless of the offer from Buffalo.

Just that contract.

Yeah, if the Sabres retained 7 million, the Leafs might take a shot at him for 2 3rd rounders

Come on man. He’s a perennial 30 goal 60 point guy who kills penalties well and is violent towards women.
Only one of these things are true

There’s no compensation for the transition tag from the other team.

They can’t except a 3rd in any scenario

It's possible. The attitude would be a worry though. We already have a coach and GM.

Which basically points out what I said, he was doubled a lot and that's why his sack numbers were down.

I think he is still a Bill in 2018

Yeah, it's bad. If the Sabres retained half his salary and threw in a 2nd rounder, would you take him?
