Yeah, but they got Shaw for 2 x 2nd round.

All even.

- Mashadar

well yeah. considering their success at drafting, maybe they're better off trading these picks for legit NHLers.

still, they drafted in the 2nd round 14 times (in 15 years)

They only keep their 2nd round draft picks for the worst draft years...

actually they seem to do the opposite. accumulate 2nd round picks in good years (deep draft) and trade them away otherwise.
not a bad idea. just a very poor execution.

Well, can't tell me 2012 and 2013 were good years for 2nd round picks...

Also, they picked in the 2nd round 8 times in the last 10 years (4 years out of those 10), 2 of those picks being last year (which we can't judge yet)...

Well, Josh Brook looks pretty good, Ikonen had a very though start of the season but has been playing better lately.

Corey Pronman (prospect guy for the Athletic) has Thomas as the 6th best prospect not yet in the NHL, and Kyrou as the 19th. If he is being overvalued, its not just by Blues fans who want him to be good.
- Antilles

seriously WHO ?

Athletic is a Baseball team for all I care

Who gives a (frank). This retarded conversation is pointless, debate the results after trades are made, when the market has been set (and paid for or not). Until then you are just in a giant circle jerk trying to either over evaluate prospects or devalue potential trade targets as a way to get off before the other guy does.

Not to mention, Markov leaving is 100% on MB. Radulov, I can maybe give MB a pass on.

I see it to other way.
we all know Markov would never play for another team than the Habs, it was Mtl or mother Russia all along. newlywed he decided to go back home. cannot blame him. and cannot blame MB either.

Radulov is another story. MB already stated that the demands from the Radulov camp were completely insane. that was back in January, more than a year ago.
right there, at that point, if you know you won't resign him you have to trade his ass at the trade dead line. That is on MB for not doing so.

At this point when MB has a hard decision to make he should just flip a coin...he'd probably have more success that way.

Seriously, I've been on this thread a couple of years during draft day and I gotta say guys in here would've drafted better than the guys paid to do it for the Habs...that's really (frank)ing sad.

yeah, not me for sure. I don't follow junior hockey. I watch it at xmas and that's about it.
I just see the results after a few years at the NHL level and realize they (frank)in suck. and have been for a long time.

I don't watch it much but I read people who do and I just can't comprehend completely untalented 1st round picks like McCarron and Tinordi. If you want big, untalented though guys, pick them later for (frank) sakes.
