it's the hickory bbq bacon sweetburger
what makes it sweet? pickles. pickles and bbq sauce.
copious amounts of toenails. even i would say this might be too much toenail.
again, points off for the orange government cheese.
it was pretty okay. not a favorite where i'll have to run back for another, but it was good and it was exactly what it said it was. it was sweet and it had bbq sauce and bacon. so i mean, come on, that's gonna be good even for you white people.
the potato wedges were not as mushy this time but also weren't as salty. no problem, i mean i just added salt and delicious, delicious black pepper and they were really good. solid outing by the potato wedges.
all in all a good trip to royal farms. also grabbed another of my long lost rockstar recovery jawns.
side note, the thought had never crossed my mind before so i think i subconsciously knew it would be a disaster, but i checked out the hoagie options. the rolls are clearly those long soft, like, hot dog roll poop. you could never order a hoagie here. i dug deeper. it got worse. oil isn't even an option on the apparently-italian hoagie. lol baltimore is dumb. |

so today i treated myself to a bacon double cheeseburger and a DIY burger. guy accidentally slid me a box of wedges. when i slid them back and told him i didn't order them he said "are you sure?" and we both looked at my slip and saw no wedges.
so he slid them back and said "you got the bacon cheeseburger, it comes with them"
it doesn't. i feared he was flirting with me and my cheeks clenched defensively.
i said thank you and got the (frank) out of there.
now i'm too tired today to take pictures of this food and you've already seen all 3 of those things anyway. but i did take a picture of this:
first of all, your poop don't look nothing like that. secondly, you could make em 4/$2 and i still wouldn't buy your nasty breakfast sandwiches. |

i didn't mention it because it doesn't excite me anymore but they've been building a royal farms right near my new place for months and months. i mean, like 2 minutes away. anyway, it's open. actually it's been open for weeks but i just finally got around to going in there.
they still don't have any kind of specialty hot coffee drinks and the milk door didn't even moo. i got a double sausage egg and cheese bagel. like absolute as sholes, they cut it in half to ensure it falls apart. it sucked anyway. still with the orange cheese, and everything was tasteless compared to my beloved sizzli. it's like it was made out of plastic.
they're still cool for the great chicken and still surprisingly good to go get a burger from but these breakfast sandwiches just make me want to watch the building burn.
one excellent addition was the 3 self checkout registers. that was big. real big. wawa does not have self checkout. not only did i not have to deal with the cashier i nicknamed precious (picture 3 patrick ewings duct taped together), but she gets to just stand there and stare while she collects her minimum wage. everybody wins.
so royal farms is still hit or miss but some of the hits are pretty sweet. like the chicken, burgers, and dogs. oh and don't forget that they carry a very delicious brand of chocolate milk. just don't go there for breakfast unless you have always wished you could wipe your ass with your own tongue. ..er, i mean, unless you like dry AF sausage, on a mother(frank)ing hamburger bun, with god damn cheese wiz. |

went in cause i was in the neighborhood. settled on the chicken finger hoagie.
they use better chicken than wawa (who literally uses the chicken fingers you feed a child instead of royal farms' little chunks of what feels like it was once a real bird) but the roll is suspect and you couldn't do much customizing which pissed me right off because this thing had mayo on it.
anyway, it was okay.
i decided i'd try their mac & cheese while i'm at it. while it seems pretty similar to wawa's i think they put it in the little cups and then sit them under a heat lamp because this was pretty dry and there was a sticker on the lid with a prep-time and a trash-it-time both listed on it. i didn't finish it. i'm pretty sure both places are just using kraft mac & cheese but wawa executes it better while royal farms is apparently trying to execute us with theirs.
so again, the place is just alright. great in some areas and marty mcsorley lacking in others.

just had the scrapple, egg, and cheese biscuit and shockingly, it wasn't great.
also had the chicken, egg, and cheese bagel. that was a little better.
i enjoyed a quart of choc milk for $1.49 instead of the pint for $1.59 again. |

i heard one employee ask the one who was making it, "what is scrapple anyway?"
and the dude very confidently answered that it was made out of chipped beef. |

got myself a cheeseburger and and a chesapeake hot dog.
it's cute that they are having a summer sale and giving it a name like hoagiefest or siptopia. they're calling it chickenpalooza. they're even trying to sell chickenpalooza shirts in tie dye colors like wawa does. smgdh.

this is actually the only breakfast sandwich they have worth eating. definitely a mess to look at and to eat though.
in the background there you can see that they do still carry my orangeade flavored monster iced tea, which is more than i can say for wawa who discontinued it but kept the peach like bumholes. |

so i had one on a croissant today and i can officially announce that the chicken breakfast sandwich is the only good breakfast sandwich at royal farms.
however, it's really good. so i will be having more in the future since they built a royal farms 10,000 feet from the home i bought last summer as if it was meant to be.
the official go-to meal at royal farms is as follows:
2 chicken breakfast sandwiches
1 of those delicious chocolate milks they sell.
also, breakfast is 24 hours there so you can order this thing whenever you want. |
