hi, guys.

so i finally got around to trying the "world famous chicken"

you know it actually is good. i don't know for sure if it's "the best fast food chicken in america", as some snooty magazine apparently said, but it was good.

definitely not as greasy or "wet" as kfc is sometimes where the skin slides off and it's all mushy and poop. there was none of that here.

now admittedly i wolfed it right down and i probably should have taken more time. but i know it was crispy on the outside and it was maybe slightly saltier than kfc.

it's good chicken.

you know what's funny about that? it's not the first time that week that i saw someone eat horse poop. there was a vid on imgur of some dude doing it last week. i wonder if that's where this drunk ass kid with the new hepatitis got the idea to do it.

the soft pretzels are something called federal soft pretzels.

they're okay. nothing too too special.

however, they are individually wrapped in sealed plastic, which is something i really appreciate.

okay. so today i tried the chicken, egg, and cheese croissant and the scrapple egg and cheese biscuit. you just read that right, mother(frank)ers.

so anyway, both were good and they were unique inasmuch as those two choices, and many others that i saw, are not available at their main competitor (a place called wawa).

now overall the royal farms breakfast sandwiches don't just pale in comparison, they full on fail in comparison to wawa breakfast sandwiches. although there are so many more choices, 24 hour availability, and the ability to order a freshly made breakfast sandwich at the touchscreen instead of taking an hour-old one from a heat lamp, they just aren't as delicious and there are only croissants, biscuits, and white bread available (you can have any of these toasted). at wawa the go to is the bagel sandwich followed by the english muffin sandwich. neither are offered at royal farms. additionally, their breakfast hoagies house 2 of those preformed egg circles rather than the piles and piles of scrambled eggs that wawa loads you up with. also, the rolls are poop.

all of that written, i am still excited to explore the many many options at royal farms.

the touchscreens are as different as a side scrolling platformer and an open world sandbox style first person shooter.

wait, what?

at the wawa touchscreen you're locked into a preset amount of toppings and/or varieties for everything. the royal farms touchscreen allows you to venture anywhere. if i wanted salsa on that scrapple egg and cheese biscuit i could have had salsa on that scrapple egg and cheese biscuit.

i will explore some more and let you guys know what's up. because you deserve this.

Their touchscreens are great. You want lettuce? Hit the lettuce icon and then you can choose the amount of lettuce; light regular and extra

i have to give them that. that's big. i'd like to control the amount of onions in a wawa italian hoagie. i'd like onions but just a few. they use way too much.

That arena is old as dirt. Pretty sure we sat in seats that someone saw the Beatles perform
