I don't get into the adv. stats stuff as much. But weren't the Sabres pretty decent in terms of scoring in their top6, but literally below the bottom of the barrel in bottom6/depth scoring?

Don’t get me wrong, we need better depth, and it’s a reason we suck. I just think an equal reason for the suckiness is a heavy case of players just not being as good as their reputations

In December I saw someone post goal totals for top6s around the league and I was surprised we weren't last or even bottom 10 from what I remember.

Like most things it's probably multi-factorial. Our best players (RoR/Risto/Okposo looking at you) aren't being the "best". Jack is, but he's the only one. Reinhart bad start, Scandella bad start...but also we lack any depth at forward or defense to makeup for those shortcomings perhaps???

Yeah, no doubt IMO. We need better depth badly. I don’t disagree at all.

I just think that if this core was actually good, we’d be higher than 30th
