Why not a category for Go Strait to McDonald's?
PITT has lost three in a row and trail their cross state rivals by two points, so got a feeling they are looking to plaster a team this afternoon in front of their home crowd.
Gibson in nets, only one of five players left from Garth's Grabner trade with Lou. Oh Gudvelikis What Next! |

Not defending Garth, but he may get you a lottery pick for Hamonic and Hamonic didn’t necessarily mean you could get Taylor Hall
This is great idea with the brackets tho |

You could even give him a pass on Hall if no sense in acquiring a star who you can't afford to sign when you have other players you need to sign. But when you factor in how poor the org has been at developing role players, the fragile mess on d and in goal, the unprofessional and inexperienced coaching, these are the things that make ownership realize it is time for a change. Sadly Garth has the owner over a barrel and he is another Wang focused on real estate deals and not the agony of the fans who watch this yearly debacle.
Only a week into their rebuild and the Rangers are playing like a real team with guys scared of losing their jobs. You still have a pro like Sather in the org as opposed to this clueless collection on the Island. |

Nice work Noel, but reading these is aggravating. - JimmyP
It's a tough read for sure. Would not mind discussing possible POHO or GM's although new GM seems to be a longshot. |

He is so lost right now. I almost feel bad for the guy. He never should've taken the job. It wouldn't surprise me if he steps down April 8th. - JimmyP
I feel a little bad for him and then I read comments about the structure and I get upset. Forwards open all the time and in front of the net is not pretty well structurally. |

Don’t worry. One of your Lotto picks will win and you’ll get Dahlin and JT will re-sign. |

Yeah, we never did hear authoritatively that we could have got Hall for Hamonic. It was more like a rumor that was sort of confirmed, but sort of wasn't. I think I even remember reading that the Oil wanted Larssen, not Hammer. But I also remember reading something about Garth saying that, if he traded Hammer, "there would have been a mutiny." Still not sure what to believe.....

I don't feel bad for him. He took the job is making millions so boohoo. I'm actually mad he took the job. I care about the team I've been a fan of for forty years. (frank) Doug Weight he'll be just another inept coach that ruined another season for this team and fans like me. I don't understand the sympathy for this guy where was it for our last inept coach? He's just as bad maybe even worse. Can't wait to watch Fritz and Tavares tonight |

Staple tweeted that snow turned down the trade but it was offered and now staple is back tracking which I'm positive is more a PR move more than anything else for his old pal so he doesn't get anymore egg on his face. Believe me I remember the day his tweet was posted on here because I lost my (frank)ing mind |

Staple just tweeted a few weeks back that when snow talked to edmonton he asked for a d man in return and that the isles never inquired about hall. Now if they had asked they may have gotten him but they never asked at all. This doesnt make it beter but it's how it was told |

If you took one of the teams with the worse record and swapped their d and goaltending with the Isles, the Isles would be a much better team. In other words the d and goaltending make them one of the worst teams masked by their high scoring. Absolutely poor communication and leadership on and off the ice between the players, the onus of which falls on mgt and coaching who assembled this team. A reticent GM who carpetbags the owners who are spineless to act. |
