Very excited to see this kid play on the big stage. I wonder however if this means DeBrusk/Bergy may be out longer than expected?

Heard about Donato this morning. A mix of excitement and troubling. Imagine if Sweeney didn't get Wingels and sign Gionta?

I think the plan all along was to sign him, even before the injuries. Hockey people have been raving about him for weeks now, so I wouldn't look at it as a panic move by sweeney. These injuries may be a blessing in disguise, the last two weeks are going to be nothing but hockey and travel, the more rest for veterans, the better.

Agree. I just hope everyone gets healthy and is able to play at least a game or two before the playoffs begin

And Holden for that matter. Lessons were learned from all the injuries at the end of last year.

I love how we now have the captian and leading scorer from Team USA!

Pretty excited to see him go at the NHL level, he was a complete standout for the Crimson this year, but you never know, people were RAVING about Vesey before he made the jump and he just kind of fits in a bottom 6 role,
Kid did look really good at the Olympics, I would love to see him playing with Backes, but see what happens when everyone is healthy.

Positive Note is Bergy supposed to make the trip

That was because he refused Nashville and landed in NYR. Whenever a player does this, it's always a story. Especially after the deadline and before the post season. The Rangers are also rebuilding or retooling. Vesey was never billed as a franchise altering player.

I saw him back in development camp and he blew me away. I didn’t realize what we had until I saw him in person.

I watched the draft live when he was picked and was excited they drafted him because of watching his father when I was a little kid. But a lot of guys were saying it was a reach so was thinking well "ok, I hope he atleast plays as a reasonable player for the B's, because I wanted him to succeed so bad because of his papa ."

Then after a few months and then a year he is a (frank)ing super stud in the hockey circles!

Funny that a emotinal Hail Mary becomes a (frank)ing potential beast,

Arguing with my brothers they say he looks like a pasta. A guy at work whom is around 60 said the replays reminds him eichal.

He looks like a Jamie Ben type. In fact mattering on his ceiling he looks most like auston Matthews to me.

It's one game but his confidence and offensive I.q. Seems super evident. The only question is if his skills are at that level and watching him for a game and more importantly over his Olympics and collage highlights he might have those skills!!!

Super excited!!!
