I don’t get it. Tim MURRAY was lionized by Garth during his tenure, right until the end. Now rookie GM Botterill is a hero for “taking over the mess that Tim Murray created”. ??

Sure Murray created a mess through bad trades, poor contracts and poor drafting. But what has Botterill done? Brought in a bunch of career AHLers to strengthen Amerks? Give Eichel a 10m a year contract when Eichel neither had the numbers or leverage to get it? Trade “one of the best power forwards on the league” for a second round pick? Burn a year of middlestadts rookie deal unnecessarily?

Botterill may turn into a good GM one day, but it’s too early to tell right now. Save the plaudits until he’s actually done something more than run a last place team

Your perception of quality doesn't matter at all.

I don't like most of the stuff that Garth writes, but why purposely bash the guy? he's not hurting anything but his own reputation? Maybe we should all have a little more class, if you don't like what he is writing don't read it... Remember, if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.
