Whether you like it or not the Canucks are on the slow and steady pace for building, four out of the past five years they've finished at the bottom of the league (bottom six), with no signs of turning the corner just yet.

I liked how as the game went on Gaudette looked more confident with the puck. I think he had three shots (attempts) on one shift. He and Virtanen looked good together.

The speed of him and Virtanen was great. The puck movement of the Horvat line was also.

At this point I prefer to see them lose but play well and play an exciting brand of hockey.

Both him and Tkachuk are LW'ers I think aren't they? That'd be a good fit if they don't fall back, then I'd prefer one of the better ranked Dmen.

I think it’s pretty clear that this team isn’t good enough to compete for a playoff spot, let alone a championship, and over the course of the season the losses will take care of themselves. I do atmit that when Boeser was scoring, and they were losing I still came away happy...

Players like Tanev Granlund Boucher, even Baertschi should be available this off-season, hopefully for picks.

Gaudette looked really good yesterday, he's not a smooth skater, kinda clunky but he gets around ok. I wouldn't call him fast by any means.

There's a lot of stale dead-weight hangin around that Benning's brought in as filler, they need a BIG purge this summer. Way too many tweeners hangin around.

I think he will get fast. These few games will let him know what he lacks. This is a kid that stays 30 minutes after practice to practice some more. I think in three years he will be very good .
