Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks beat Oilers for 3rd straight win, prep for Blue Jackets A strong defensive game and more good goaltending gave the Vancouver Canucks their third-straight win when they beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 on Thursday night. Next up, a matinee with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday at 1 p.m.

First game I’ve watched in the last couple of weeks, and I really only watched because Gaudette was playing.
He played ok, it will be interesting the next few games, hopefully he figures out how to play along the boards better.
I was impressed with Saunter, but again first time watching him, but I like him better than Stecher and Hutton.
Markstrom played great, McDavids goal was on Gagner.

Don't know what the heck gagner was doing on the mcdavid goal but it turns out to be the greatest goal ever scored

I think they will be back, I like what Vanek had to say about them.

I think they should retire, but I’m not going to be upset if they return.

There is not much out there in free agency and the price will be crazy. Canucks mostly keep drafting and develop. Short term contracts .

After Daniels comment about being able to play in the league. I kind of think they are leaning towards returning.

What Vanek said is true. They have always seemed like stand up guys.

I have loved watching them play for years.

I just don't think the team is going to win a cup with them. It's just time to move on. Let me be wrong though.

He sure has been. More patient with the puck, allowing plays to develop like DP goal.

Sounds good to me.

Have Baertschi and Granlund ever played together? I'm sure it's been tried but don't really remember.

Sedins need a garbageman on their wing or a Janitor. The need a player that comes in and mops up or cleans up what they don't finish.

Gagner's last two goals are good examples . He wasn't part of the set up nor was there a pass intended for him . It was a shot and a miss by the twins and Gagner mopped up. Back in the day it would have been a shot and a goal by the twins.

I don't care how they go in as long as they go in. Gagner is catching on just like Burrows go collect the garbage.

That's what Canucks need players playing to their potential . I wont use games after TDL as an indication of next year but I do hope it will be a good year
