I’d rather use the cap space to trade rape desperate teams looking to clear space. Maybe try to find reasonable priced UFA’s after sitting on your hands until July 3rd or 4th.

A lot of bottom feeding teams have this same mindset, they can’t all improve.

This was a bottom 3 team until this meaningless winning streak, even if they improve, they’ll still likely be bottom 10.

Well you are entitled to your opinion I see the team moving up 5-7 spots next year with teams like Ottawa Chicago Mtl Det and 3 other teams falling below us.

Maybe 1 or 2 bad caps that end in 2-3 years that don't have NTC. Exposable in expansion draft.

I really don't think Benning/Aquillini will stay the course, I fully expect at least one significant UFA signing. I fully buy the Bozak rumours with Henrik gone.

Sutter isn't a 2LC, and Gaudette/EP are kids, Green is going to tell Benning to sign someone for sure. And they'll probably try to sign a dman and/or scoring winger as well.

I agree about Bozac. I had wondered for months if they had interest in him if Hank left. He is a decent priced reliable center.

I think they will go all in now also on you know who. 7x7 I didn't say his name in fear of inciting a lot of abuse thrown my way.

I would give Pouliot another season. Sutter we need to keep with twins gone. Gaunce is a real good defensive forward. Hutton trade and Granlund is cheap. Trade Sven and try to trade LE.

I'm guessing Green begs to differ.

He's used Sutter exclusively as a checking center. Even when injuries hit, he played guys like Gagner/Granlund/Leipsic as C's on "scoring" lines while keeping Sutter as his checking center.

It's one of the reasons why I like Green over WD, WD used Sutter like he was prime Kesler and it's what lead to the fans hating Sutter since he wasn't good enough to be playing on the 1st PP unit and getting o-zone starts. He's much more effective as a PK/checking center.

I would definitely sign Pouliot for another year 1 mil . He plays left side right side . He would be a decent #7

I'm guessing he gets 3 or 4 years. Supply and demand, there's more teams that need a 2nd/3rd line center than there are actual centers available. Winger market is definitely deeper.

The decent C's and D's will get paid.
