Bad defensively (I like that he tries to be physical, but his positioning and actual checking ability is garbage).

Doesn't move the puck fast or well enough from his own zone at this level despite being an offenisve dman.

The only time he looks somewhat decent is on the PP.

I honestly hope he proves me wrong, but to me he's not a legit NHL dman.

Probably wouldn't be a high end one. The names rumoured at the TDL were guys like Brock Nelson and Nick Bjugstad. Or Max Domi, assuming teams actually think he can play C long-term.

Pretty cool to learn how Burke made the last minute deals to land the Sedins.

I really don't think Benning/Aquillini will stay the course, I fully expect at least one significant UFA signing. I fully buy the Bozak rumours with Henrik gone.

Sutter isn't a 2LC, and Gaudette/EP are kids, Green is going to tell Benning to sign someone for sure. And they'll probably try to sign a dman and/or scoring winger as well.

I don't want to pencil in some of the prospects. Gaudette is showing he is capable. EP has shown in a better league although different that he can play. EP was better then Gaudette at prospect camp.

I also don't want to rush prospects.

Sutter isn't a 2LC but he is the shutdown center and plays the 2nd most. So essentially he is a 2LC.

Riley Nash might be a cheaper option who is a bit younger then Bozak and finally breaking out.

I would rather see Vanek back or Maroon to help out a younger center.

I agree about moving Tanev and Hutton. That is a savings of close to 7.5 but the big fish are next year. I would save that money for one year and go for OEL

I'm guessing he gets 3 or 4 years. Supply and demand, there's more teams that need a 2nd/3rd line center than there are actual centers available. Winger market is definitely deeper.
