Speaking of the Sedins

They are 50 point guys with fewer minutes. Any team would love that so they stay and I say they have 2 more years in them. Next year they can be scratched on back to back games and they look great with Virtanen’s speed on that line. Jake should come in next year faster and ready to be a true power forward but, the fastest power forward in the league. That will help the Sedins both hit 50 plus points next year.

Still great players and even if they were 4th line players they may still help this team win a cup.

I see the Sedins back for 1 year as for JV & his speed its a non starter. They slow down the game & would make JV a wasted asset.
They don’t head man the puck on the rush nor dump & chase. What they need is a very good 200’ winger eg Sutter to cover up their slowness on the back check. To do that we need other C’s to fill up the void.

You can have two young 30 point guys who aren't -20 players and they'd be just as effective. They don't need them anymore.

They are complimentary role player types
Neither are what we would call key pieces nor does our depth help them. Although Bo & BB are a good duo IMO the 3rd wheel for them can be interchangeable without missing a beat.

I didn't say "better", I said just as effective. Why continue to lose with 38 year olds when you can lose with 25 year olds. My point is they don't make the team better because they have 50 points, they are so defective defensively it really nullifies their point totals.
